“If you close the gates, we can leave him out here for a while.” I said, smiling. “He really needs the exercise.”

Garon pressed a button on a remote and the iron gates came together. “Let’s get you inside,Piccolina. You need the rest.”

I couldn’t help rolling my eyes. “I’ve done nothing but rest. You need to stop fussing over me.”

Garon scoffed. “That’s not going to happen. Are you hungry?”

“Yes.” I answered to his back while he was walking up the steps to the entrance.

Garon wasn’t greeted by anyone, the house was empty, but everything looked impeccable and there were fresh flowers on his dining room table.

“We’ll order something to eat. What do you want? Do you crave anything?”

“Oh, I crave something.”

His back was still turned to me, so he couldn’t see I was slowly removing my clothes until I was left standing there in only a black thong and my breasts covered only by my hair.

“Tell me what you want and I’ll get it for you.”

“Garon.” He turned and stopped frozen. “I don’t want food.”

I wanted him and I needed to know where we stood. He had me in chains now, there was no way I could walk away from him with his child, so did he still want me? Or now that the chase was off the table he wasn’t interested anymore.

“Pina.”

“Dimmi23.” I whispered. “Tell me if you like what you see.”

“What?”

“Our entire lives have changed in the past three days. I need to know what our future will be, Garon. Am I just the surrogate living in your house or do you still wantme?”

Garon sucked in a breath before lunging forward and picking me up in his arms. I didn’t hesitate to put my limbs around him and hold on tight while he walked until we made it to a table and he gently put me down on the cold, polished surface.

“You are my peace.” He mumbled while burying his face in the curve of my neck. “If you could see the noise and darkness inside my head, you’d understand. You make it all go away. You give me peace.”

I didn’t make more sense of what he said—I couldn’t focus when his tongue was trailing paths on my skin—but when he saidI was his peace, I almost felt my soul leaving my body. I told him I loved him, loud and clear, knowing I wasn’t going to get the same words in return, but somehow this sounded so much more important. I was his peace, whatever that meant for Garon, it meant everything to me. It meant we might have a chance, that there still was a shred of hope for my love.

He kissed my chest going down and pulled back my hair to uncover my breasts. I arched towards him and Garon caught one of my nipples between his teeth. His mouth triggered a chain reaction and soon I could feel him all over my body, but still, I wanted more.

The way I pulled at his clothes, desperately trying to rip his shirt to shreds and feel his hard muscles under me, made me feel like I was losing my mind, but I couldn’t see anything through the thick veil of desire that covered my face. I laid back on the table top while Garon climbed on top of me and we accidentally knocked down the flower vase.

“Oh no.” I said, but Garon pulled me back right away.

“Eyes on me, Pina. Don’t take your eyes off me.”

How could I? He was all I saw.

Vibrating underneath him, I pulled at the belt holding his pants in place, but he pushed my hands away.

“Garon, let me.”

“I…” he looked lost. “I don’t want to hurt you.”

“You won’t.”

“You don’t understand how bad I want you, Pina. I’m so hard it hurts, and all I want is to put you face down on this table and have you. Hard and raw.” A feverish breath rained down on me. “I don’t want to hurt you.”

“You won’t.” I touched his face. “You asked me what I’m craving. I’m cravingyou—Garon Caputo—not some watered down version of you.”
