“I should have never touched you. You should have given your virginity to someone else.”

“No. I’m glad it was you.”

Why? I was the most broken man on this goddamn island.

“You shouldn’t try to see Grazia anymore.” I changed the subject and made Pina’s head snap in my direction.

“Why?”

“Why? Because you’re part of that godforsaken family. She’s better off without you.” I felt disgusted with myself for talking to her like that, not even a moment after fucking her, but it was better to rip off the band-aid. “Rumor has it Martino is about to skip town. Be smart and leave with him.”

“Why would you say that to me?”

“Because I can’t fucking look at you! Your sister tried to destroy my family, what the hell did you expect?”

“I amnotmy sister! And what the hell do you mean you can’t look at me? We’ve just did… this.” She gestured between us.

A part of me was trying to plead her case. Maybe Pina was not to blame for other’s sins, maybe she was right. Too bad I was too fucked up to care about the right thing anymore.

“I kept my eyes closed.” The pain on her face was gutting, too much to look at, so I did the cowardly thing and… left.

I took Pina’s virginity in a closet.

And then I left her there.

Fabiano always said I was below the trash people throw out. Seems like I was on a mission to prove him right.

I slammed the door behind me almost like I was trying to shut all the hurt and anger out, but it didn’t work. The first thing I saw when I walked into the hallway was the unpleased face of Giani.

“What the hell did you do?” My brother asked in an ominous tone.

He knew. He’d heard us.

“Fuck you.” I said back, not willing to sit through his questioning. “I’m out of here.”

Chapter 1

4 months later…

The phone wasn’t stopping, no matter how hard I’d tried to ignore it. It rang, and rang, and rang, and every time it did, I felt like a wide crack was about to open on the top of my head. I opened my eyes to see I was underneath two topless redheads that were both sleeping, probably still drunk. Not that I was in a better shape.

I got out of the pile of limbs and found my phone. My sister’s name was flashing on the screen.

“Grazia.” I grumbled. It was too early to get lectured.

“Hey, stranger. Guess where I am?”

“How the hell should I know?”

“At your house. You’re still not here.” Here we go again. “You said you’d be home by now.”

“Change of plans.”

“Are you still in France?”

“No, Grazia.” I looked around me at the luxurious bedroom on my yacht. Man, my brothers hated when I bought this thing. “We left Marseille last night.”

“We? Who are you with?”
