"I do. I'm interviewing Rory's boss today to see if any incidents have happened yet."

"Okay, well, let me go get dressed, and we can walk together. Thank you for breakfast again."

"Anytime Daph."

With that, I leave the kitchen and go back to his bedroom. I found my bag where I must've dropped it last night. I just have an extra pair of jeans and a tee, but it shall do for now. Thankfully, I have another pair of underwear. Mine really got ruined last night.

After getting dressed, I head back and find Archer playing a game on his phone already with his shoes on. We set off back to work. When will I get a break? Probably never; that's the life of working in the FBI.

***

After getting to the FBI building, me and Archer part ways. I

head to my office to start combing through surveillance. Archer watched for about an hour, so I only had five left. We grabbed Starbucks on the way here, so at least I have that. Getting here at 9 a.m., I should be done around five or six, so that's good. But it's back to examining Rory to see if I missed anything. Hopefully, I did. I cannot get over not finding at least one piece of evidence.

Finally, at my lab, I get in and move to go to my office. Once in there, I grab a notebook, pen, and laptop. I'm planning on first writing down timestamps and then writing what that person looks like and what they are wearing. After the initial comb-through, I'll go back to each person and grab their faces to then try to identify them.

Sitting down, I open up the email that Nisa sent to both me and Archer that contains the video feed. I skip to the timestamp that Archer gave me for where he left off. I should grab popcorn. This is going to take a while.

I press play and start watching.

***

I've watched about four hours with two hours left. It feels

like it is taking forever. I only have two people that seem like good candidates. One is a girl who keeps her eyes on him for a while. She also looks very aggravated that he's dancing with other girls, including me. But that could also be a symptom of a resting bitch face. The other is a man who stays in the back corner but is always looking at Rory. It seems like he does it in a pattern. Two minutes looking at him and then about thirty minutes looking around. He hasn't moved much either and doesn't drink anything.

Both seem suspicious, so both will be interviewed. Archer will probably interview them. I sit back down and continue my long marathon. Both seem suspicious so both will be interviewed. Archer will probably interview them. I sit back down and continue my long marathon.

Chapter Six

Archer

Daphne called me and Nisa up for a short meeting. I figure she's combed through the footage and has found at least someplace to start. We are meeting in Nisa's office since it's just the three of us.

Heading up to her office, I wonder what Daphne found. Hopefully, at least one person seems at least suspicious. Although I hope that we find at least one suspect, I hope it's not more than five. It is so hard to narrow it down unless there are sound alibis.

When I reach Nisa's office, I tap on her door, and I hear her shout to come in. I walk in, seeing that Daphne is already here. She has a notebook with her, no doubt with people's information. She gives me a glance up. God, she looks so beautiful.

"Okay, let's get started, shall we?" Nisa asks us both.

"Yes," we both say in unison.

"So, I found four people who seemed suspicious. Three males and one female. I'm starting to run facial recognition in our

systems, and it should be done within the hour," Daphne tells us.

"Okay, Archer, you're going to interview one, and then I'll have three other people interview one each. Everyone will take notes, and we will have a meeting to compare, sound good?"

"That sounds good to me." I can't really complain too much to the director.

Nisa looks at Daphne and says, "As soon as you have the I.D. on all four, email and call up to me. I want this to be taken care of quickly, especially if any of them are flight risk."

"I'll get right on it, boss; it honestly shouldn't be too long. I'm surprised that there wasn't anyone else that stuck out. But four is a good base number to start with. Right?" Daphne looks up to me for the answer.

"Yes, it will be much better than starting with no one. It will also give us an idea if they saw anyone who looked suspicious or if they are casting blame elsewhere. Who will I be interviewing?" I turn to Nisa, hoping she already has an idea. She smirks. Oh no.

"You'll be interviewing the girl. She looks like she's young, so I don't trust anyone else. They will all flirt with her, and if she's the killer, then they will probably be hunted down when they leave the building. Wouldn't want that."
