"I already have them packed. I've had them out of storage since you got engaged."

"Really? Arch, that's amazing." I can tell she has tears in her eyes.

"I figured you needed something old. And I have literally no idea what one would match your dress, so I have them all packed."

"Thank you. It means a lot to me. Also, is Liam bringing a date? He said plus one on the card, but I can't figure out who it is."

"You know Liam, we won't know until the day of your wedding if he has a date or not. I'm hoping because he's been annoying lately."

"You two are both annoying. I always wanted a sister, never another brother. And yet here I am with two overbearing, embarrassing ones."

"I'm not embarrassing." I go to my freezer to grab more pizza rolls since I devoured my first batch.

"You scared my first boyfriend when you pulled a knife on him."

"Yeah, but he was a piece of shit so."

"No excuses. No guy would go near me not until I left high school. You are the younger sibling, but you always acted like the older one. I appreciate it now, but you were embarrassing. So was

Liam, always terrorizing the guys I brought home when he was over. Both of you were no better."

"Yeah, yeah, but now look at you. You're happy with Elias. Aren't you glad I stopped you from getting pregnant as a teenager and having to deal with one of those assholes?"

"Yes, I am happy for that small part. What day are you guys flying in?"

"Friday, staying until Monday night. That's hopefully as long as we can stay. You know how it is having a high-profile job." Her job is so high profile I still have no idea what it is exactly. She can't talk about it. Not even with Elias, it would be considered dangerous if we knew. I always hope she's safe. I like to tell people she likes to travel just because there's not a better word for it.

"I know what it's like. If you guys have to leave early, I will understand. But I would love it if you were there for my big day."

"I would not miss your big day for the world. I would fly back as soon as the ceremony was over, but I would be there to see

you get married. Don't you worry?"

"I'm not worrying. Thank you."

"Of course, I have to go get ready. I have a date with Daphne."

"Have fun, baby brother. Love you."

"Love you, see you in a couple days." Hanging up the phone, I look at the dishes that need to be done. My absolute least favorite chore. I hate my hands constantly wet and soapy. I can leave them for later. Putting my plate in the sink, I go upstairs to pick out my outfit and then do my hair.

I wonder what she's wearing. If I can try to match. From her lingerie, I'm guessing she's doing something black. A little black dress, hopefully. Black with those pink highlights physically does something to me. I think I might turn a bit crazy for Daphne whenever that happens.

It's about an hour later, and I'm ready to walk out the door.

. I'm in a maroon suit from Versace. It's one of my favorite places to order from. I have to go and grab the car from the FBI building because this place is too far for us to walk in. Especially if Daphne's in heels, because I know that I wouldn't even be able to walk down the street in those death traps for your feet.

Heading back to work at this hour isn't uncommon. Especially for the car, I like to go on nightly joyrides sometimes. Except I'm in a government-issued vehicle, so I really can't speed too much unless there's an emergency. I really need a car of my own.

It's slightly chilly at this hour, but it will most likely be freezing at the restaurant since it's on the river. I hope Daphne is bringing a coat, or she'll just have to take mine. I can admit that she would look stunning with one of my suit jackets draped over her shoulders. I get to the parking garage and swipe my card to get in. Sometimes I hate working somewhere that is so heavily surveillanced. I already told Nisa that I was taking the car, so it shouldn't be a problem. Although I do hate being watched on the video feed almost like a criminal. I get the car, hop in, and drive to Daphne's place. Once there, I send her a text.

Me: I'm here, lovely. Come out whenever you're done. I bet you look stunning.

Little fox: Already flirting, I see; I can tell that this is going to lead in my favor. Be down in a couple minutes.

I changed the crime podcast that I was listening to and put on music. Daphne likes to sing in the car, and her voice is actually quite pretty. You can tell she did chorus or sings in the shower often enough.
