Finally, I see Daphne coming out of the door to the apartments. She is breathtaking. Her hair is in brushed-out curls that fall down her back. She's wearing red lipstick that is physically doing something to a particular member of my body. But the dress is what does it for me. It hugs every curve she has perfectly, creating a fantastic silhouette. A black glittery dress that goes down to her calves with a long slit on the side. She has heels that make her appear so much taller than she is. I think I'm quite literally staring at her, but who can blame me.
I get out to grab the door for her. "Wow, you really outdid
yourself with everything." I lean forward and give her a kiss on the cheek before she gets in the car.
Once I'm back in, she says, "You outdid yourself too." She looks her fill at my suit. Basically eye-fucking me, and if I make it through the night without a boner, I will feel very accomplished.
"If you look at me like that, we won't be leaving, and I'll be having you for dinner."
"I would say I'm okay with that, but I'm hungry for actual food, so I'll quit for now. But is that still on the table for dessert?"
"It's on the table for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and midnight snack for you."
She shakes her head. "You are something else. What did you do today on your day off?"
"It was pretty boring. I went to the gym and then talked to my sister on the phone. She is very excited to meet you. She thought that I would be single my whole life. And she wants nieces and nephews, so me being single doesn't work in her favor."
"Are you already getting me pregnant?"
I side glance at her, "When you're ready."
She laughs, "Well, thank you for the warning. I'll let you know, but it won't be for another couple of years. I mean, we just started. I want to experience life with you and then life with you and kids."
"Well, that wasn't a no, so it's already working in my favor. What did you do today?"
"I guess it is working in your favor. And I cleaned the whole house. I got my package in, and I'm hoping we can use it tonight."
"No hints?"
"You'll know it when you see it." I already know it's not a sex swing, but she would look breathtaking in one. I'm going to have to put one on my shopping list.
"I'm looking forward to it."
"It's not exactly exhilarating in itself, but I'm hoping that we
can have some fun on it."
"We can have fun on anything, love." I notice that she clenched her thighs, and that tempts me into wanting to pull this thing over to remedy that.
"So, where are we going?"
"This fancy Italian restaurant that is on the Potomac. I heard that they have amazing food, and I haven't had anyone that I wanted to bring there until you."
"Sounds wonderful to me."
"I'm sure you'll love it."
We ride the rest of the way with Daphne singing her heart out and me loving listening to her. Getting to the restaurant pretty quickly, we pull up, and it's stunning. The restaurant itself looks like a little Victorian house. There's a deck for outdoor seating and a glass-enclosed balcony. The lighting is all done with low lights. No bright white lights in sight. The river looks beautiful, and the sun is getting ready to set. This is perfect for our first proper date.
"This place is something else," Daphne tells me while she gets out. "It's absolutely incredible; thank you for introducing me to this place."
"Of course, hopefully, the food lives up to the looks of this place. Shall we?" I hold out my arm for her to take it. The parking lot is bumpy; I wouldn't want her to trip when she looks like this. We go inside, and I tell the hostess my name for the reservations. We chose to sit on the enclosed balcony for the view of the sunset. The hostess leaves the menu, and we set off to find what we want to eat. I think I'm going to get fettuccine.
"What are you thinking?" I ask Daphne.
“Mm, I think spaghetti Pomodoro, you?” She looks at me with genuine interest.
"Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken."
