“Sounds good. Tanner? What do you think?”

“I think we’ll freeze our b-b-balls off, but I’m in.”

Benjamin chides him. “Stop saying balls. People will think I raised you with no manners.”

“That’s not t-t-true. And we all have them. What’s the b-b-big deal?”

“He has a point,” I agree. “Some balls bigger than others, but we all have balls.”

“Ugh,” Benjamin groans. “I can’t take the two of you anywhere. Give me the baby and you two can stand here and talk about snow and balls.”

He takes Samuel from Tanner and walks off, shooting a grin and wink over his shoulder. Throwing an arm around Tanner, I say, “Gods, that omega will keep me on my toes.”

Tanner grimaces. “You and Dad are g-gross.”

Laughing, I shake my head and we walk into the reception, sitting at the table assigned to us.

As Brandon and Mason thank everyone and the best men give their speeches—Benjamin with a bleary-eyed Samuel in his arms—I think of how foolish I was. I almost let my shit with an ex seven years prior keep me from the best thing that ever happened to me. Luckily, I pulled my head out of my ass—with the help of fate—and got myself in gear.

Now here I am, with two wonderful sons, an omega that makes me happier than words can describe, and a host of new friends that I enjoy getting to know.

Our union was unexpected, but all the better because of it. Benjamin makes me a better person. Our sons make me a better person. And I have my unexpected fate to thank for that.

THE END
