She sniffles and nods.
"Alright, Dag, I'm going to put a fresh bandage on this while you keep a hold of our girl here. Not hearing from you has been hard."
I kiss Mel's forehead as she leans against my right side, putting her face into my neck. I smile at Meghan, and she gets to work.
Five minutes later, Mel is helping me put my things back on. "I'll give you two a few minutes. Mel, you have a patient in cubicle four." Mel nods as Meghan kisses her forehead before squeezing my arm, giving me a relieved smile. She walks out while I pull my girl to me, kissing her lips gently, hoping she doesn't push me away. She doesn't; instead, she kisses me back, making me grip her hip with my left hand, which is not easy, with my shoulder all wrapped up while my right goes to the back of her neck. After a few minutes, I slow the kiss and peck her one, two, three more times before rubbing my nose against hers. She smiles at me with tears in her eyes before rasping,
"I still haven't forgiven you, and I owe you a knee to the balls."
I grin at her words before kissing her one more time. "I'll earn your forgiveness and trust, baby." I rub my nose against hers again. "I've got to get going and catch up on club business, but I'll be back here to pick you up when you finish."
She narrows her eyes at me, and I chuckle. "I'll get a prospect to bring me, and we'll return to yours in your car. I want to see our girl."
She grins wide. "She's missed you; we both have."
I smile before kissing her again. Fuck, I can't get enough of her.
"Alright, Precious, off to work you go. If I don't leave now, then I never will. I'll see you later."
She smiles before kissing me again, then leaves as Axel enters. He shakes his head and says, "Gunner had practically moved in with her this past month; I think he's going to struggle without her."
I chuckle as we both leave the cubicle and head towards the main entrance of the hospital. We pass Cassidy on the way out, and she smiles wide, seeing me and saying, "Dag baby, you're finally back."
I ignore her and continue walking out while Axel chuckles. We hear her growl in frustration, but we don't stop our stride. You'd think she'd give up by now; my dick was only inside her for five fucking minutes.
Chapter 22
Dagger
We get back to the clubhouse not long later. Shane is at the gate, and when he sees me, he grins wide, relief etching his features.
I do a one-finger wave as we drive through towards the clubhouse, where I notice everyone is here. Axel looks at me after he parks, and mischief enters his eyes.
I raise a brow at him. "I may not have told anyone about you being home."
I chuckle and nod my head.
Fuck yeah.
We both get out while still chuckling and head towards the door while he rubs his hands together, making me shake my head. He opens the door, and I can see the clubhouse is packed.
I snort when Axel shouts out,
"WELL, WELL, FUCKERS, LOOK WHO I FOUND."
They all turn and look.
Half the brothers and old ladies sag in relief while the other half cheers loudly.
Annalise rushes over to me, and I hug her tightly to my right side. She lifts her head slightly off my chest before frowning when she sees my arm, but I just squeeze her tighter to me and say, "I'm good, I promise." She swallows hard; she doesn't believe me as tears well in her eyes, but she shakes her head, then nods and kisses my cheek before rasping, "I'm going to go make your favorite beef burger."
She rushes off with tears going down her face, and I go after her, but Axel grips my good shoulder and squeezes it before smiling at me and saying, "I'll go, brother."
I nod with guilt building in my gut before he goes after his woman, who is all heart.
That woman is an angel.
I go to take a step forward towards the bar when my blood brother grabs hold of me, hugging me tight, causing a sharp shooting pain to rush down my arm. I grunted, making him pull back quickly. His eyes widen with panic when he sees my shoulder before he shouts, "FUCK DOC, HE'S INJURED," making everyone in the clubhouse stop as Doc rushes over to me. They all look horrified when they notice the bandage while the women gasp.
