She turns in my arms, wrapping hers around my neck, oblivious to everyone staring at us, waiting anxiously for me to drop on one knee. I would bet my bike Doc is currently live-streaming this to the clubhouse.
She leans on her tiptoes, kissing my lips gently before rubbing her nose against mine, making me smile. "To what do I owe this surprise visit?"
I smile, gently caressing my lips against hers. "I wanted to see my girl."
She grins at me and says, "Best excuse going."
I chuckle before rubbing my hands along her hips and looking into her beautiful eyes, which sparkle with love for me. How I got so lucky to catch and keep her is beyond me, but Flame is right; I can't wait any longer. I need her tethered to me in every way possible.
First, I'll put my ring on her finger, then I'm putting my baby in her belly - she's mine, and I'm hers. We may be married by the laws of the club, but I want her married to me by the eyes of the fucking law, and then every mother fucker will know she's mine.
I take a deep breath before I kiss her lips lightly, then take a step back, making her look at me in confusion, but I just smile gently at her.
"You blew into my life, Precious. I didn't want you; I didn't even want to be in this town. I was planning to leave again, rejoin my team, and never look back, but there you were, shocking the shit out of me and my heart." She smiles at me, her eyes still holding confusion. "You were and still are the light I needed to overcome my demons. You brought me back to life and became my universe, and I cannot even imagine a life where you are not in it. You center me, you complete me, and you make me feel whole."
Her eyes shine with each of my words before I finally get down on one knee. She gasps, placing her hands over her mouth as her tears fall, and I smile wide while getting my mother's blue halo sapphire diamond ring that used to be her grandmother's out of my cut.
Mel's tears fall faster while I hear a few sniffles in the background.
"You are my whole universe, Mel; you are all I see and need. I want to do everything I can to tether you to me forever because, without you, there is no forever for me.
Marry me, Precious. Marry me and complete me.
Become tethered to me to create more memories together and grow old.
Marry me."
She lets out a sob before nodding her head frantically, and I grin wide while the whole room erupts in cheers, making her jump back and look around. Everyone chuckles at her while I stand and place my mother's ring on her ring finger before I pick her up, placing my lips on hers in a passionate kiss. She wraps her arms around my neck, her fingers gripping the bottom of my head, while her legs dangle down because of her dress.
I smile into the kiss as the room claps before I slow down the kiss, rubbing my nose along hers, and she gives me a watery laugh.
"I love you."
I grin wide,
"Not as much as I love you, Precious."
She giggles while I put her down, but I'm not moving my arm from around her waist as we're swarmed by everyone. Meghan grabs us both in a hug while Doc slaps my back.
"About time, Dag."
I chuckle and shake my head while he shows me his phone. "Wave, brother."
I chuckle again and give a one-finger salute as a cheer can be heard in the background, but I furrow my brows because I swear I can hear Budgie, whichis impossible because I'm pretty sure he told me they had another mission until I hear Sparrow speak.
"About time you grew a pair and locked her down, Sniper; we've been waiting for his mission for months."
I laugh, looking at Doc, but he just shrugs. "I made sure your whole family could witness this."
Mel grins wide while I hug Doc, feeling fucking grateful, before I kiss my girl again, making everyone cheer louder.
Finally, I feel at ease, like I'm where I'm supposed to be.
A few hours later, I'm leaning against the headboard in my room at the clubhouse with Mel asleep, her head on my naked chest, while her leg and arm are thrown over me. Her warm breath is fanning over my skin, sending warmth through me as her ring sparkles in the moonlight on my chest.
After we spent a good few hours partying with the brothers and my squadron who showed up, I brought my girl back to our room in the clubhouse, where I loved on her body until she could no longer keep her eyes open.
It was fucking perfect.
