I sigh as I pull up next to Dagger at the clubhouse.

We've been on a run for two fucking days to Wincher, transporting artillery and guns. Normally, it's only an 8-hour round trip, but because of thunderstorms, Flame, our road captain and tech guru, had to make some arrangements, which means not only am I behind on arranging club businesses, which is part of my job as the club secretary, but I also haven't seen or spoken to Sophie in that time. Don't get me wrong, I tried to call her after Flame got her number for me, but once she knew it was me, she refused to answer. I guess me promising she'll be mine in front of her boyfriend, his friend, and a man who I'm thinking was 'Todd's' dad was fucked up. Still, my jealousy spiked through when she mentioned her father and how upset she was.

I shake my head.

I wanted to bring her father back and kill him myself for the pain that shined through her eyes, which is fucking ridiculous because he didn't ask to get cancer, did he!

Me and my fucking thoughts

Sighing again, I get off my bike to get sorted before leaving again, determined to go see my girl tonight, not giving a shit that it's nearing 10 p.m. I walk past Dagger, who has a weird look on his face as he looks at Shane, and I slap his back. "Come on, brother, I'm fucking starving. I need food before I go find my fucking woman." He raises a brow at me, and I scowl. "She is my fucking woman; she knows it; she just has to get on board." We walk into the clubhouse as he laughs, making my scowl deepen.

I don't know what he finds so fucking funny; Mel hasn't answered his texts or calls either.

Just as we walk through the door, I'm dragged into a hug by my mother, who acts like I've been gone months, not two days.

"Oh, baby boy, I missed you."

I shake my head and smile at my dad while hugging my mom back before Dagger pats my back, heading to his room. I call his name, letting go of my mom, but he just waves, continuing, and I sigh. Mom scowls at him, an evil look in her eye making me furrow my brows until she notices I'm looking at her, and she turns to the waterworks, making me roll my eyes.

She's in a weird fucking mood; maybe she's going through menopause or something.

I shake my head before patting my hand on my dad's back. "I'm going to go get some grub, then I've got to go out. I'll see you tomorrow in church." Dad nods while Mom crosses her arms over her chest, making me raise a brow at her.

"I haven't seen you in two days. I want some time with my son. What's more important than spending time with your mother? Don't say a sweet butt because I know for a fact you slept with someone while in Wincher; you always do."

My dad snorts, then tries to cover it up with a cough, knowing I haven't touched a girl since meeting Sophie. Not that Mom would know this.

I shake my head and say, "Mom, I'm 29, and you can't always see me. Besides, we see each other every Sunday for dinner. Now I'm starving, and I have something I need to do. I'll see you tomorrow."

She scowls harder, narrowing her eyes at me, and I just shrug before kissing her cheek. I can't deal with her clinginess tonight; I have a woman to go fucking see, but first, food.

I leave the common room and head to the kitchen, bumping into Amy, who looks frazzled. She used to be a sweet butt, thinking she could have protection if she fucked us when in reality, her working for us automatically gained our protection. She caused a lot of shite for our Pres Axel and his woman before she came clean about her true feelings. She's probably the sweetest woman you could ever meet now.

She grins at me and says, "Good to have you home, Ink."

I smile at her as she pats my back, leaving the kitchen. I shake my head before I bump into Buzz, our newest patched brother, who is doing his jeans back up, and I smirk, raising a brow while his eyes widen before he clears his throat. They're an item, keeping it low so people like Cammy don't interfere. This would also explain why we never see him with someone. I give him a nod as I walk past him while saying, "You were never here," making his tense shoulders relax.

I snorted, shaking my head. They'll be the talk of the fucking clubhouse when people find out.

I go to the oven and take out a left-over plate of chicken fried steak—thank you, Annalise—before I quickly heat it up. I sit at the table and promptly scoff it down, wanting to get to Sophie and finally make her mine. Just as I've finished and put my plate in the dishwasher, Clitter rushes into the kitchen butt naked, and I raise a brow at her.

She looks at me and clears her throat before a seductive look crosses her face, and I just shake my head at her before walking past her, making her huff out in annoyance. The woman wants an old lady patch and is willing to do anything for one, including sucking my blood brother off two days ago. The man was a fucking wreck over it, worried Mel would find out. I shake my head at his idiotic ways. He should bite the bullet and confess because if she finds out, he can kiss his relationship goodbye.

Mel's only rule for her giving him a chance is no other women, and he fucked up big time.

I walk through the common room, past the dark oak bar, ignoring my mother's scowl, whose eyes track my movement from one of the tables and out the front door, back to my bike. I should wait until morning, but I can't. I messed up with her. I know this, but she has to understand where I was coming from that day in the bakery and the pain that shone through her eyes, calling for me to hold her tightly and never let her go. She feels this between us; I know she does, and I'm sure if this guy wasn't involved, she'd be mine now.

I sigh as I climb on my bike, dropping my tired head. I hesitated for just a moment. Maybe she's happy with this guy; maybe he's a good guy and can give her a good life. A picture of him kissing her head like a sister pops into my mind. Yeah, no. I start my bike up and spin out of the club's parking lot, moment completely gone, giving Shane a head nod as I go to my girl's, determined to fucking make her mine once and for all.

I get to her apartment building ten minutes later, and I bite my bottom lip, sucking my lip ring into my mouth before climbing off my bike. Leah's working tonight, so it'll be just me and my girl. Unless her boyfriend's there, then I'll just have to kick the fucker out, simple as that.

I press the buzzer for her apartment before her voice says,

"Hello?"

She's hesitant, and I grin.

"Open up, Pixie."
