"SHE SAID YES!" was shouted, bringing me out of my head as I stood in front of my childhood home, saying goodbye. I turn to see a grinning Jackson, and I smile wide, happy for Dagger. Since we finally met after Momma died, he's become like a big brother to me. He deserves all the happiness in the world, especially with what he was put through growing up from Jackson's egg donor.

The brothers who were waiting patiently for me cheer while Leah grins wide, and I rush to my man, hugging him. "I knew she would."

He grins wide before kissing me before Axel speaks up.

"Alright brothers and our two sisters," me and Leah grin wide, making the men chuckle. "We have roughly two hours before they get to the club, so brothers get home now and help set up for the party; Daggers squadron is already there; prospects go take the stuff in the van to Jackson's, leave them in his garage, but watch that fucking mustang," I nod in agreement, narrowing my eyes at the men along with Leah making the others chuckle again. Axel grinned, "Ink, go take your girl to the shelter and meet us at the club before Dag gets there." Everyone nods before the brothers all give me a kiss on the cheek, and Leah hugs me tightly before getting in the van, but as soon as her door shuts, Gunner points at Shane, "Take her to the clubhouse first, then the nursery stuff to mine," making the rest of us chuckle while he sighs, shaking his head. "I swear the woman will be the death of me."

Then we all full-blown laugh at him.

Looking back at the house one more time before wiping away a tear, I whisper "goodbye" before climbing on the back of Jackson's bike while putting my helmet on. He squeezes my calf as I wrap my arms around his waist while placing my forehead against his back, not able to watch the house disappear as we ride away from my family home, the place my parents brought me up, but Momma is right, I need memories, and that house will always be tainted now because it's where I found her and couldn't save her.

Two hours later, Jackson and I are walking hand in hand through the back door of the clubhouse. Our new black and white cat is safely tucked up in her new bed at home. Scarlet is the perfect addition to our little house. Jackson removes his hand from mine before wrapping it around my hip, and I lean into him as we sit near the bar, waiting for Dagger and Mel to arrive so we can celebrate their engagement.

Not even five minutes later, they arrive, and we all cheer before Jackson drags us over to them. I hug Mel, who grins wide at me before Jackson takes her into his arms. I look at Dagger and tilt my head, who smiles, taking me into his arms while he whispers, "Thank you," in my ear because I waited for him to be okay with a hug. I hold him tight in return before we pull apart, and Mel grabs hold of my arm, dragging me towards Leah, making the men chuckle. They only stay for an hour before Dagger gets fed up and puts Mel over his shoulder, taking them home while we all laugh, so now I'm standing next to Leah while she talks about her graduation that's coming up.

She hasn't told anyone, only I know. I know she wants to keep it that way, so my lips are sealed unless she shows me some signs of wanting other people aware, and by other people, I mean Gunner.

Lots of photos will definitely be needed if she refuses to have him there.

She's just finished talking about a girl in her class who's driving her insane when the front door slams open and, with her head held high, the bitch egg donor walks in. Her brown hair is messy and greasy, while her brown eyes search the room before landing on me. The men who have just celebrated because the club princess, who left for reasons only a few are aware of, said she may be at Dagger's wedding are now all standing tall, glaring at the bitch, hands on their pieces.

Axel and Stormy step forward, but she doesn't look at them; instead, she points at me with a large kitchen knife, making Leah gasp, and I swallow hard. This time last month, I would have prayed for this, but now Jackson needs me, Leah needs me, and my niece or nephew, whom Leah still won't tell me what she's having, needs me, but I also won't let this woman hurt Leah, so I stand in front of her.

"Sophie, no."

She tries to step in front of me, but I move my arm back, holding her off while Leslie laughs manically. "I warned you what would happen if you kept seeing my boy; he doesn't need gold diggers like you."

I don't reply; I'm not fucking stupid; don't make the crazy lady even crazier.

"What? Nothing to say."

All the men take their guns out of their holders, but the woman doesn't seem to care as she takes step after step towards me.

I see Gunner out of the side of my eye, slowly inching my way. Still, I know it's for Leah, so as hard as I can, I shove her, making her yelp as Gunner catches her while Leslie laughs again, "Mighty good of you to save your pregnant friend, bitch."

I bite my lip, not moving, knowing that as soon as I move my legs, the crazy woman will attack, but I hear Leah cry out my name, and I know Gunner is holding her back. I can see Jackson from the corner of my eye on the other side of me, and I pray he doesn't get himself hurt. I can't lose him either; if I did, I could guarantee I would be done.

Axel tries to get her attention by stepping forward, but she doesn't move the knife from pointing towards me. "How'd you get in here, Leslie?"

I swallow hard when I notice the blood on the knife. No, no, no.

Shane was on gate duty tonight!

Leslie smirks, "Well, that young man didn't see the knife until it was too late. I think he's still alive."

All the men tense up before she looks back at me. "Now, what to do with the whore who thinks she can trap MY son, hmm. Oh, I know…"

Just as she trailed her sentence off, she rushed towards me, but she didn't get to me because Jackson's gray eyes were looking straight into mine,

"NO, NO, NO, NO"

This is all Leslie shouts before there's a gunshot, all while I look into the eyes of the man I love.

My eyes tear up as his knees go weak, and I look down to see he's been stabbed in his side. My whole world falls apart while the brothers look at Leslie, not realizing Jackson has been stabbed, until I let out a scream full of pain as I fall to my knees with him before he lies on the ground. The brothers all look at us, and the men start roaring out as I put my hands to his knife wound while I scream.

I look down as he puts his hand on my cheek. "I love you," he rasps, and my sobs come hard when his eyes close before someone pulls me back, but I fight them until I hear Gunner say in my ear, "Let Doc do his thing, darling; I've got you; I've got you."

I sob uncontrollably while watching Doc try to save my man's life, my reason for breathing.
