I grunt. “Everything is fine. She is confused, but she won’t stay confused for long.”
“Captain, how much do you know about human females?”
“What’s to know about them?”
He shrugs. “I bet you don’t know a lot about them. You aren’t a fan of getting to know other beings.”
Yes, I don’t care how others think about me, and I don’t care about what they are up to. Onner is the one managing business relationships and I’m the one slashing through everything that dares to stand in our way.
Onner continues, “Humans are very different from us. So, if you want her to be happy and want to trigger the rest of the mate bond, you have to make her want to be your mate.”
“I know that. I’m going to make her accept that.”
Onner shakes his head again. “That’s not what I mean. You can’t punch her or tie her up to make that happen.”
I roll my eyes. “Really? Are you trying to mess with me? She is just in denial of our bond.”
“Humans don’t feel it the same way as us. You have to win her over. The mate bond acts differently to them. Most human couples don’t even have the mate bond.”
I grab his throat. “Do you think that you are an expert and you get to tell me how to treat my mate?”
