“I did. I asked, she is scared.”
“You ask, not demand. It is different.”
I still don’t understand what the problem is. It must be those stupid human movies. “You’ve watched too many movies. Those are fiction and aren’t real.”
“Geez, that’s not the point. Humans love those, so those have to be at least kind of real. In those movies, the male always does something for the female. Things that she will like.”
I suck in a deep breath. What Onner said is useless. I’ve been doing that. “I take her as my mate. What else should I have done otherwise?”
He sighs as if I failed a test. “Something before you claim her as a mate. You have to show her that you care about her.”
“That’s why I claimed her as my mate! Come on!” I growl at his nonsense. If I don’t care about her, I won’t take her with me.
“No, not like that. You really should have watched a few of those movies with me. Before you ask whether she wants to be your mate, you should, maybe offer a gift.”
A gift?
Is that the same thing as how Zoe said I should have asked her first? And something about I shouldn’t say that Earth is a backward place even if that’s the reality?
Onner continues, “And you have to let her know you care about what she thinks and what she wants. You can’t assume that either, you have to ask her, nicely.”
That’s a ton of things I have to do when it doesn’t have to be that complicated. This mating thing is stupid. “Anything else? Do I also beg for her to accept me now?”
Onner rolls his eyes. “Well, I’m not the one choosing for you to have a human mate. Try your best and get to know her as herself, not just your mate as the physical existence.”
“Yeah, yeah, human expert.” I scoff and continue my way down the corridor, back to the control room. Maybe when Zoe said she wants to be alone, I should let her.
My cock twitches at the memory of how good she feels under me. She was happy, and she enjoyed our time together. Is she scared that I’m not a human? But...

Itakeadeepbreath, holding onto the cape Iechon gave me. I’m alone and he hasn’t barged his way back here. Maybe he is being patient with me.
Or... He is planning something else.
I have nothing with me. My phone and everything else are probably left on the beach when these green aliens kidnapped me. Iechon said it as if he is doing me a favor by capturing me.
