“Mm... You didn’t. But you’ve been tired, right? And you said you like these trousers.”

Huh?

He squints at me. “What? I let you pick something and you said brown is better than gray.”

“I don’t remember picking. I don’t even remember walking out of the meeting room.”

He scowls and taps my forehead. “Are you fine? You were awake when I carried you out of the room. Do you still remember the portal? We left the room after the ship left the portal.”

I shake my head and snuggle to his chest. He strokes my hair with worries in his eyes. I sigh. “Maybe I’m too tired. I don’t remember anything after you came inside me.”

“You don’t even remember the bath?”

What bath?

He moves closer to me, looking into my eyes. “Are you sure you don’t remember a thing?”

“I really don’t remember anything.”

“Well, are all humans like that?”

I roll my eyes. “I’m not always like that. Maybe it is you testing some drugs on me and knocking me out. Happy your plan worked out?”

He huffs and rolls his eyes. “After I carried you here, I bathed you and cleaned you up before I put clothes on you and put you on my bed.” He frowns and closes his eyes for a brief moment, maybe he is also trying his best to remember what happened. “You fell asleep when I put you in bed. But I didn’t figure you don’t remember a single thing.”

I shrug. I suppose that’s not very important when I’m fine and I’m here with him. “I think it isn’t that bad when I wake up to see your face.”

“Oh...” He grins. “Really? I’m happy to hear that.”

Ah... I think I can get used to this.

There is another beep from the broadcaster. This time, I don’t jump and try to flee. Maybe these green aliens aren’t here to hurt me after all.

“Everyone, we are getting ready to land, please get ready.” There is another beep, which signals the end of the broadcast.

Iechon sits up on the bed. “Are you ready? We are landing in a space station. Maybe we can get you fitting clothes.”

Oh... Space station...

“There are a lot of other aliens.”

“You can say that. Well, you should try to act normal.”

“Okay.” I think I can do that. For Iechon, acting normal probably means I shouldn’t ask everyone whether they are humans in costumes.

“And...” He scratches his hair with a frown. “Don’t tell anyone that you are from Earth.”

I scowl. “Why? I know Earth isn’t a place with advanced technology, but it isn’t such a shame that I can’t even mention it to anyone, right?”

He shakes his head and holds my hand as if he thinks I’m going to be mad and leave. “Not at all. You shouldn’t tell others about Earth because... Well... um...”

I snort. Despite saying he is a patient kuqnil, he isn’t one with patience. With his quick temper, why is he taking the time if he intends to be honest with me? “If I don’t know and don’t agree with the reason, I’m not going to do that. You don’t get to make me do things without a good reason.”

He watches me for another moment before he sighs. “There’s a reason most humans on Earth don’t know about our existence.”

Hmm... So... Maybe it is against some rules for him to interact with me, let alone take me and put me in his spaceship and on his bed.

I lift my brows. “You aren’t always a rule follower.”
