Page 6 of Baiting the Alien

This man has a vibe that screams how I should be more afraid of him than I currently am.

But this man is also the reason I’m here, in an unknown place, surrounded by stupidity.

I scowl. “What’s the growl for? You fucking moron. This is so dumb.”

“Who are you calling a dumbass? This is human’s way of insulting, right?”

What the actual fuck is the human’s way of insulting? Does he think I’m that dumb?

“You! What’s wrong with you? Painting yourself green is so pathetic. I don’t know you. Let me go.”

He laughs. “Of course, I’ve never expected you to know me. More importantly, you are here now and you’re mine.”

Huh?

I suppose he isn’t here to kill me, but there can be a lot of things that are worse than being dead.

“Dude, you are crazy. I’m not anyone’s. Where am I?”

“On my spaceship.”

I burst out laughing. “Seriously? Your spaceship? That’s what you call your mother’s basement?”

He growls and yanks my hair, lifting me off the bed. “Maybe you should stop insulting me. Otherwise, you will regret it.”

“What?” I reach to his pointy ear. “You are the one messing with me. If you think it is funny to prank me by dressing up—“ I yank the ear and he hisses. The pointy part seems to be glued tightly onto his skull. “You’ve put on an elaborate costume.”

“Stop pulling my ear!”

I grunt when he drops me onto the bed again. I gasp when I check my fingers.

None of the green flakes off him. It looks like he has nice paint on his body too.

I roll my eyes. “It’s okay, you’ve pranked me. I’m so scared now. Take off the silly pointy ears.”

“I don’t know what you are talking about. Those are my ears and I can’t take them off. I don’t think humans can take off their ears either.”

“Humans this and humans that. What’s wrong with you? Thinking that you’re cute by pretending to be an alien?”

He rolls his eyes. “Alien is what humans call us, I suppose. I’m not pretending to be an alien; I’m an alien.”

I swallow and stare at him. Part of me wants to laugh at how silly he and this whole situation is.

But... his glare makes him look a lot more serious than I dare to keep laughing.

“So... if you said I’m on a spaceship, show me some evidence.”

He lifts an eyebrow. “You don’t trust me? I’m going to let that slide once; then you will learn.”

He goes to the grey wall of this stupid room and presses a button.

The grey wall warps and shows a dark space. There are many shiny spots out there that aren’t moving.

I roll my eyes. “A projector and a picture of space? I’ve seen that. Do I look that dumb — dumb enough you think you can fool me with that?”

He squints at me. “If you’re not my mate, I’m going to make you regret it already.”

I am what? His mate? What the hell is wrong with him? He seems crazier than me.
