Lightning sparked deep inside me as I realized what he’d done. Tasting me on the outside wasn’t enough for him. He had to slip his fingers into his mouth and suck off every drop of my wetness to be fully satisfied.

The thought drove me utterly wild. Knowing how much he craved me, how much he needed my body, made everything inside me erupt in searing ecstasy.

“Jensen…” My chest heaved, and my grip on his head turned to iron. “I’m going to… oh, fuck…. I’m gonna come… I… oh!”

His fingers curled inside me, and I stifled a loud cry as my back arched, hips almost bucking right off the chair. My vision flashed with blinding white light, pleasure detonating in my core and radiating throughout my entire body.

“Oh my god...” I let out another low moan, head lolling against the back of the armchair.

Jensen pulled away, tongue slowly running over his lips to taste me all over again. “There’s more,” he murmured, rising to his feet. His left hand lingered on the front of his pants, palming the obvious hardness beneath the fabric. “But that can wait. You’re exhausted.”

He was right. I was absolutely shattered. My eyelids were heavy, and my body felt like it was melting right into the chair.

He scooped me up and carried me over to the mattress. Once I was safely curled up on it, he lay next to me and wrapped his strong arms around me, cocooning me in his warmth.

We stayed like that for several long, blissful moments, content in simply hearing one another breathe in and out. I wanted to remain tangled up in the embrace forever, but a knock startled me out of my sleepy reverie a few minutes later.

“Hey.” Piper’s voice filtered through the closed door. “It’s happening.”

Amerie

“Give us a minute,” Jensen called out.

He went over to the armchair to grab my clothes for me. Once I was dressed, we shared a brief kiss before exiting our private space and heading back to the living room.

Piper was sitting cross-legged on the couch, laptop perched in the space between her thighs. “I was trying to nap, but this thing kept pinging with notifications,” she said, glancing over at us. “It’s so loud.”

Jensen’s forehead creased. “Did you check to see what it was?”

“Yup.” Piper lifted the computer to pass it over to him. “It’s your Twitter thread.”

“Already getting traction?”

“Yup. Tons. It was a good idea for you to tag that media outlet in it. It’s only been forty minutes and it already has three hundred thousand views,” Piper replied. “People are retweeting it all over the place.”

“Holy fuck.” Jensen set the laptop down on the coffee table and stared at it. “It actually worked.”

“No shit. By the end of the day, that view count will be in the millions, and the whole country will know about the Rosmerta Society.”

Jensen kept staring at the screen, eyes glimmering with a mix of pride and shock. “I can’t believe it happened so fast.”

I gently rubbed his back. “I can believe it,” I said softly. “You said you’d do anything to save me, and you did.”

“I bet everyone in Vanderwild Bay is scrambling right now,” Piper said. “By the end of the week, there’ll be arrest warrants flying all over the place.”

I turned to look at her. “What do you think your parents will do?”

“Flee, probably. They have a friend with a PJ. But they won’t get far. Not with the whole country looking for them.”

“PJ?”

“Private jet,” she said, rolling her eyes. “I keep forgetting you grew up poor.”

I turned back to Jensen. “What about your parents?” I asked. “What do you think they’ll do?”

His brows dipped in a quizzical frown. “Not sure. They might try to run too. But who knows?” he said. He lowered his gaze to one of the supply bags. “Do either of you want something to eat?”

“Hold on.” I cleared my throat and straightened my spine, looking at Jensen and Piper in turn. “I really hate making speeches, but I have to say something right now. You two are amazing. You’ve basically sacrificed your families just to save me.”
