He lets out a shuddering breath, then squeezes me tight. “Shit. Don’t say it like that. I thought you meant this doesn’t mean anything.”

“This is…” Everything.

“Just us. Wyverns are on their fucking own. But we do have to get up. The nurses keep knocking.”

Right.

Because I’m in the hospital again. “Did the guys say anything?”

“No idea. I wasn’t going to leave you.“

My heart clenches.

Ruined.

I am so, so permanently ruined because now I know what it’s like to wake up warm and snuggled, and I won’t be able to stop myself from wanting more.

“Are you on my team or their team?” I keep my eyes on his chest and the peek-a-boo shadow of his nipple through his dress shirt.

How did he ease me so good and stay fully dressed?

“Yours.”

I ignore the belly flutters. “Then you don’t mind if I screw with them?”

“Mind?” Orion’s laugh bubbles. “That’s my love language.”

“Good. I’m not showering.”

“They’re going to fucking flip,” he says gleefully.

“Let them in?” I straighten my dress and cover my legs with rumpled blankets that smell like omega sex and caramel apples.

“On it.” The second Orion slides open the door, they bull through in a wave of dizzying testosterone.

“Lilah, are you—” Hunter chokes.

Atlas’s jaw clicks. He bites back the primal struggle to pounce us as Orion slips between the sheets to spoon me on the bed.

While Jett takes a sentry post, Finn zooms to my tossed panties like a freaking bloodhound, snapping them up and into his pocket.

Right. I wanted to rub my scent in their faces just a little bit, but I forgot Finn’s not fuck-with-able.

He’s fuckery in its purest form, and he shoots me a pointed grin that says he knows my ass is bare under these blankets.

“Feeling better?” Hunter’s brown eyes are bleary, and his shirt’s rumpled, with rolled up sleeves that flash the tattoos I still haven’t given a good lick—I mean look.

“Much better.” I lean into Orion, enjoying how the little motion makes the alphas stiffen. Orion grins into my hair.

Before we can have any fun, Doctor Morgan rolls in to check my vitals. “Looking stable this morning.”

“I am. What’s the news?”

She shakes her head. “Toxicology showed you were exposed to a hormone stimulant. Did you eat or drink anything that could’ve been tampered with?”

“Who fucking dared.” Atlas’s growl is all kinds of stroking, but I feel like I just got shot into space.

Drugged.
