He's a complete revelation.

He makes another loop around the couch, a laughing Mia on his back. "Go, go horsey," she yells between giggles. Jonas shoots me a grin full of joy and laughter, and another part of me falls. Soon, he'll have all of me. It’s an overwhelming thought.

Colton charges across the room. "What the hell, man? Mia, baby. I'm Horsey, not Jonas." He drops to his hands and knees next to them, trying to coax Mia onto his back. Jonas keeps whipping around, shoulder-checking him, so Colton can't get the right angle to grab Mia. Mia, stuck on Jonas’s whirling back, is nearly breathless with laughter.

Evie wanders between them with a glass of wine in her hand. "You keep that up, she'll puke on you, Jonas."

Jonas freezes, a look of complete horror on his face. Mia's face crumples, too, looking like she's on the verge of tears. "No. Bad mama. We riding. I having fun."

Evie drops to the couch next to me, and Maya wanders over too, looking snug in her plaid onesie. "Mia's looking a little green," I murmur.

"She's definitely going to puke today. Only question is if she takes one of the guys down with her,” Evie says casually.

"Takes one of the guys down? Is she sick?" Maya asks, brow wrinkled.

"No, she's not sick. But the guys have a highly developed —“

Just then, Mia makes a gagging sound. Jonas immediately drops to the floor, and with one arm, scoops her off his back and plops her on the floor next to him. Both men crowd in, looking worried.

"Mia, I'm sorry. I didn't mean —“ Another gag from Mia. I understand what Evie means. I've gotten glimpses of it, but nothing like this. After Mia makes a silent gag, Jonas makes a not-so-silent one. Colton glares at him, and moves to scoop up Mia, but doesn't make it. He ends up leaning over, too, gagging.

I slap my hand over my mouth, horrified but also to contain my laughter. "Should we help?"

"Nah," Evie says, taking a relaxed sip of her wine. "She'll be okay either way. It's way more entertaining if we let them handle it."

Maya and I exchange glances over Evie's head, then lean back. If the mom isn't bothered, I guess we shouldn't be.

"I okay. I okay," Mia says between gags. Her eyes are wide, her expression not okay. The men don't look convinced either and are trying to help her, patting her back, offering her water, all while gagging themselves. Finally, Nick wanders over and scoops Mia into his arms.

"Let's get a little air, Princessa," he murmurs, kissing her on the cheek. She gags again, and wraps her arm around his shoulder, and buries her face in his shaggy hair. If she does throw up, he's going to be covered. He's obviously aware of the fact, but seems completely unconcerned.

Jonas and Colton, grumbling, follow him toward the patio doors of the dining room. "I kind of want to follow them, so I can see what happens," I say.

"I know," Maya says, smiling. "They're better than any TV show I've ever watched.”

They really are.

Across the room, Micah's girlfriend Holly stands up from the table and stretches, her rounded belly straining at her long tunic top. She presses a kiss on Micah's cheek — the man is constantly hovering — then waves him off and wanders over to us. Evie stands immediately, and helps Holly into her spot on the couch, then drops to sit on the floor in front of her.

"C'mon Mama, put your feet here," she says, patting her lap. It's an echo of last night with Jonas, and I feel a blush creep up my cheeks.

"What is that?" Holly asks me, dropping her feet into Evie's lap with a sigh. "What's that look about? Was it dirty?"

"No...yes. Not really," I mutter. I groan and fan my cheeks, wishing away the red.

Evie laughs knowingly, and picks up Holly's foot, rubbing it firmly. Holly groans in appreciation, and attempts to lean back. Maya and I scramble for some cushions, propping them behind her.

"You are very short, Holly," Maya says cheerily, patting her on the shoulder.

Holly laughs, used to Maya's complete lack of filter. "I know. And my coordination is all off. I feel like I'm all baby right now."

"How much longer?" I ask, trying not to stare at her belly. It's already huge.

"I'm due in early March. So not too much longer."

Across the room, Micah's talking with Kade and Becca. His eyes are drawn, over and over, to Holly, checking on her. His love for her is written on his face for anyone to see. Holly meets his gaze, and the smile they share is so intimate, I look away.

That kind of connection is something I always dreamed of, but not something I ever actually believed I'd have. Keith the Conman certainly didn't look at me like that, like I was the most important person in the world. Can I have that with Jonas? My eyes are drawn to him across the room. He’s rubbing Mia’s back, but somehow, he feels my gaze. He looks up, eyes colliding with mine, and give me a smile that echoes the one Micah gave to Holly. There’s no doubt, no hesitation, no hiding it. Love shines bright and true and on his face.
