I scrub shampoo into my hair, and my mind drifts to the look on Nikolay’s face while he was watching Alexey fuck me. His eyes were glued on me, his cock was pushing against the seam of his sweatpants, and his hands were clenched into fists like he was trying not to reach out and grab me. Lex whispering in my ear, asking me how hard Nikolay was, made me come so hard I saw stars. Nikolay is smoking hot; there’s no denying it. He looks like Alexey and Dmitri but with soft green eyes. I want to explore with him, but he seems to keep his distance from me, and I refuse to make him uncomfortable in his own home.

I hear the bathroom door open and shut, then the telltale sign of someone peeing. I roll my eyes. “Caden. What the fuck? There are like four-hundred other bathrooms in this house.”

“But this one has you in it, Firefly.” I laugh and tip my head back to rinse the shampoo. The glass door slides open, and Caden steps in completely naked. I’ll never get tired of looking at any of them naked. He pulls the conditioner bottle from my hand. “Turn around. I want to do it.” He steps back so I can step out of the spray. He starts working the conditioner into my hair, and I sigh.

“I could get used to this.”

“Any time you want any of us to do anything for you, all you have to do is ask.”

Most of the time, I don’t even have to ask. Last night after the game room, Ghost and Alexey brought me upstairs. They washed me gently in the shower, and it ended with both of them fingering me to another mind-blowing orgasm. Then Ghost got the call that his garage was about to be searched and blew that high all to hell. I’ve never been so scared as when Alexey told me Ghost’s dad was there, and they were arresting Ghost. I’m just glad Shadow got to him in time.

“I know,” I say softly. I know I’m lucky, but I can’t help the fear that slides down my spine that they won’t want me for the long haul. I can’t lose Caden, he’s already an important part of my life. The rest of them are quickly working their way into my heart, and I’m not sure I can stop it.

“What’s on your mind, Firefly?” Caden spins me around and starts rinsing the conditioner out, running his long fingers gently through the strands.

“I’m scared,” I admit.

“Of Ghost’s dad? We won’t ever let that motherfucker touch you.”

I lift my head up so I can see his eyes. “No. Of this,” I gesture between us. “Of all of this.”

Caden’s brows furrow. “Why are you scared? We won’t hurt you.”

“You can’t promise that. Who’s to say what you like about me now isn’t what makes you hate me later?” I know this is stemming from my ex. But he used to love all this about me, and then he didn’t.

“Firefly,” Caden murmurs, running his knuckles down my cheek. “I like everything about you. You’re never too much for us. It’s us that are not enough for you.”

I wrap my arms around his neck. “You don’t give yourself enough credit, Caden.”

“Neither do you,” he retorts, settling his hands on my hips. “Maybe it’s time we both did. Don’t give up on us already because of fear.”

His lips come down on mine, and I open for him willingly. It’s still crazy to me when I kiss Caden. I just hope this doesn’t blow up in my face. He pulls back and pecks my lips. We trade spots, and I grab the shampoo before he can. I wash his hair like he did mine. I notice his brown roots starting to grow out. “We need to touch your hair up again.”

“I’ve thought about letting it grow out.”

I pause. “Don’t you dare. I love your blue hair.” I switch to conditioner and work that in. “We can get someone to stop and get the supplies from my house.”

“You treat me like such a princess, Firefly,” Caden says with an overexaggerated sigh. “I’ll never get tired of it.”

I shake my head with a laugh. We take turns washing off. Caden steps out, grabs my towel, and holds his arms open so I can step into it. He wraps it snuggly around me and leads me to the vanity. He picks up my brush and starts working it through the strands. I can’t take my eyes off him in the mirror. I feel things shifting between us, taking this from friends with benefits to something more.

I just hope I’m ready for that.

We go downstairs, eat breakfast, and send Alexey to my house to pick up the hair supplies. When he gets back, I work on Caden’s hair, making it the vivid blue that I love so much. It just fits him, and I can’t imagine him with brown hair. The whole time, we just talk like we used to before all of this. It’s always been easy to talk to him, and I hope we can always keep it this way.

“There,” I declare after I get his hair rinsed and fixed. “Perfect.”

“You’re perfect, Firefly.”

We spend the rest of the day lying around the house, and by nightfall, I can’t take it anymore.

“I’m bored,” I grouch from my spot on the couch. All day Ghost and I have sat around the house. Ghost because he’s a fucking fugitive, and me because the guys have turned into overprotective parents about my safety. I understand, but holy shit, I can only watch so much Netflix. The others can come and go as they please, chasing down leads, and it’s starting to wear on my nerves.

“What do you want to do,Boginya?”

“I don’t know. Anything. But if I have to watch one more show, I’m smashing your TV.”

“You don’t have to go to such extreme measures,Moya zhizn,” Alexey chuckles.
