I stroke my hand down his face, and he leans into it. “I know, but I thought it might have been better when we talked face to face. Can I call you later, Mama?”

“Of course.Ya lyublyu tebya.”

“Ya lyublyu tebya.” Something about that phrase tickles the back of my brain, but I brush it off. Dmitri disconnects the call and tosses his phone on the couch.

“So, I have a question.”

Dmitri rolls his eyes. “I can only imagine. What are your questions?”

“Your mom and Aldo. Are they…?” I leave that open for him to fill in the blank. His eye twitches again, and I can’t help but laugh this time. “They’re together, aren’t they?”

“Yes,” he grits out. “I guess it could be worse. He treats Mama like a queen.”

“Then what’s the problem?”

“He was only supposed to be protecting her.”

“Sounds familiar,” I joke. That’s exactly what happened with Evie and now me, I suppose. But I’m not going to point that out. “If he’s treating her good, you should be happy for her.”

“That’s what I told him.” I look over at the sound of Ghost’s voice, and my mouth goes dry. He’s standing there in gray sweatpants, no shirt, and a backward fitted ball cap. I already know what he’s hiding in those sweatpants, and his dick is outlined in them perfectly. “My eyes are up here.” My eyes snap from his dick print to his face, and he’s smiling from ear to ear.

“I’m sorry. But goddamn,” I say. “Warn a woman next time before you walk around looking like a wet dream.”

Ghost busts out laughing, and I totally agree with Caden that it’s one of the best sounds. “I’ll keep that in mind.” He walks over and seals his lips over mine in a quick hot kiss. He plucks me from Dmitri’s lap, plops on the couch, and drags me into his. “The guys are waiting for you.”

“You don’t look all that pissed off that you have to stay home anymore,” Dmitri grouches, getting to his feet.

“I have this gorgeous little redhead staying with me. I’m good.”

“And Nik,” Dmitri adds.

Ghost shrugs. “That’s just one more sexy Russian. Caden can’t claim them all.” I lose it laughing. I love this side of Ghost. You don’t get to see it much, so it’s always a treasure when you do. “Neither can your greedy little pussy. You have to share, Sunshine.”

“Oh. I’m perfectly fine with sharing,” I say. It makes my mind wander to watching Ghost and Caden last night. If any of the guys want to let go with each other, I’d never stand in the way.

“I’m going to go.” Dmitri pecks my lips. “You two need to stay in the house.”

“Yeah, yeah,” I grumble.

“You also need to go call Nolan and Holden and tell them everything they need to know about your dad. Quit putting it off.” Dmitri spins on his heel and marches from the room.

“Quit putting it off,” Ghost mocks when Dmitri’s out of earshot. “Asshole.”

“But he’s such a pretty asshole,” I sigh, making Ghost chuckle. “He’s right, you know.”

“I know.”

“I have something I need to do too.”

“Nik is in his office.” Ghost laughs at the surprise on my face. “Dmitri told us about the kiss.” He pushes me to stand from his lap and stands up beside me. I crane my neck to look up at him.

“You guys gossip worse than girls do.”

Ghost snorts. “I doubt that. I’m sure you’re dying for a girl's day with Les and Evie.” I grin because he’s not wrong. I finally have something to add to that conversation, and Les can actually enjoy it because it doesn’t involve her uncle. “That’s what I thought.” He smacks my ass to get me moving.

“One of these days, one of you is going to have to pay up for all this ass smacking,” I throw over my shoulder and watch Ghost’s face change. His eyes darken and I see his dick twitch to life in his sweatpants.

I walk down the hallway toward Nikolay’s office and look through the gap in the door. His head is buried in his laptop, so I take a second to gather my courage. I push my shoulders back and shove open the door. His head snaps up, and he looks surprised to see me walking in.
