She wasn’t the only one.

Shit, what the hell was I doing?

I stood, and readjusted my aching cock that was bulging in my jeans.

Macy watched me, then closed her eyes and pulled in a shuddering breath. Her body was trembling.

“Macy…”

“Go.” She flicked the cover over her body.

Should never have touched her. I wasn’t built for this.

“Just go,” she whispered.

I needed to take care of my kid.

I needed to keep Macy safe.

And I needed to keep my dick in my pants and my hands to myself.

I turned and stalked out.

MACY

Iwoke in a comfortable bed looking at a concrete ceiling crossed with black metal beams. I blinked, and remembered where I was. Colt’s.

A second later, I remembered everything that had happened.

Ugh. I was pretty sure being almost abducted and then having my grumpy boss almost get me off were not the kind of adventures my mother recommended.

I sat up, and pushed my mass of tangled hair back. I’d slept pretty well, considering. Probably thanks to the orgasm I’d given myself. I closed my eyes, and pictured in great detail just how great Colton’s dark head had looked between my legs.

His mouth had felt even better.

I flopped back down on the pillows. I had no idea what level of grumpiness I’d find today. I’m sure Colt would be back to giving me his “no relationship” speech.

Well, shit was going down in my life, and I really, really wanted the distraction of some hot sex with multiple orgasms.

With Colt.

He could give me that. And I knew a part of him wanted to.

What if it screws up your job, Macy?

Sleeping with the boss was not a good idea. Well, once he was done with me, I’d move on. Find the next adventure. My mom had always said to live life to the fullest.

Life’s full of adventures, Macy Moo. You just have to find them all. Don’t let anyone, especially a man, hold you down.

Maybe Colt would be an adventure. For however long it lasted. Mom had always drummed into me that nothing lasted forever.

My stomach rumbled. Shower, food, and coffee. That was all I needed right now.

I took a quick shower. I loved the rain shower head in the huge shower in the bathroom. Pure decadence. In my head, I decorated the industrial-style bathroom, with its gray tiles and wall of weathered wood, with some much needed pops of color. Some teal-colored towels. A jeweled toothbrush holder. Maybe a plant.

I dug out some clothes from my bag. After a quick shake, my pretty, yellow sundress would do. It was Saturday, the sun was shining, and I was safe. It felt like a sundress kind of day.
