“You feel… so good. Tight. Hot. Fuck, Theo, I’m not going to last.”

Theo panted puffs of air and sound. Thinking was overrated, talking only less so, but… “Heavens, me neither.” He ended with a drawn-out groan as Daniel slowed, allowing Theo to feel every solid inch that delved inside. “No, please,” he begged, “don’t slow down. I need…”

Daniel chuckled. “I know what you need.” He nudged Theo. “Lay down on your back.”

After carefully disengaging from his mate, Theo fell onto the bed, watching his mate kneel between his thighs, spread and lift his legs, and then lean in to reconnect them.

“Oh, oh, yes,” Theo chanted as Daniel slid home. Daniel bent to kiss him once, twice, then sat up, and though he started slow, soon took up a steady pounding cadence that returned Theo to a high state of ecstasy.

It only took Daniel wrapping a hand around his cock and jacking him once for the dam to break. Heat and a shot of that incredible lightning rocked through him. He came in a rush of white fire, spilling across his abs and dotting his chest with cum.

Daniel grabbed hold of Theo’s waist, continuing to thrust as he held on tight. His mate froze, his grip turning rough, as he stuttered through his own release, “F-fuck. Co-coming.”

Joy swept through Theo as he laid beneath his mate. They’d come together. Figuratively and nearly literally. When fingertips brushed beneath his cheeks, smearing wetness that wasn’t sweat, Theo opened his eyes, unaware that he’d even closed them. He stared up at his mate, who looked down at him with rounded eyes and parted lips.

“Oh, angel. My angel.” Daniel breathed hard, catching his breath as he pushed Theo’s hair off his forehead, tucking a few longer strands behind his ear. “Thank you for giving me this gift.”

Theo pulled Daniel down to rest, holding his mate in a loose embrace as the shudders of post-coital euphoria tapered off. “I should be thanking you,” he murmured, pressing kisses to Daniel’s ear and hair, wherever he could reach. “You are more than I ever thought I’d be worthy of. I will treasure you as the gift He has given me for all the days of my life and thereafter.”

“Amen,” Daniel whispered, and Theo echoed, content in the warm pulse of joy he received from on high.

Thursday: Sunrise

Thelial

Dawn’s early light came much too soon for Theo’s liking.

It’s time.

Just a little longer, Father. Please…

You know the rules, Thelial. Eight nights, not days and nights.

But you’re You, Theo argued half-heartedly.You could change the rules. You can change anything you want.

Some things…Theo felt Father’s sigh more than heard it.Some things you—angels and humans—must decipher and change yourselves.

Theo glanced at the threads of light beginning to creep around the edges of the curtain covering the lone window in Daniel’s bedroom. He disengaged Daniel’s arm and slid out of bed, tucking his pillow into his vacated place. His other half’s face was relaxed in sleep, although a tiny frown line appeared as he snuggled against the pillow. Theo drew the covers up over his body to keep him warm.

He placed a light kiss on that wrinkle, sending wishes for pleasant dreams into his mate’s mind. Once it smoothed, Theo stepped backward, letting the light of Heaven surround him and bring him home.

“Good morning, Thelial.”

Theo spun around, barely taking in that he was in his room as he dropped to one knee and bowed his head. “Father. My sincerest apologies for my impertinence.”

Father’s laughter sounded like bright wind chimes ringing on a breezy, sunny day. “Not necessary. I expected you to argue your case. As those before you have done.”

“I find it hard to believe Ari would have argued with you.”

“He had his moments. Leo and Judah pushed harder.”

“That I believe.”

Father hummed, trailing fingertips over the tops of Thelial’s wings as He circled him once before heading out into the hall. “Find John and meet me in the garden. Joseph has had a vision.”

Theo sucked in a breath between his teeth, waited until Father left before letting out a mild curse in his native tongue, then rose to seek out the Aluf of God’s Army.
