Graham

I’ll let you know after my meeting.

Gavin

Are you doing some shady business now?

Graham

Of course that’s where your mind went.

Gavin

Do Mom and Dad know you’re going to be here?

Graham

Nope. Staying with a friend.

Gavin

You have friends?

Graham

I will take them for celebratory drinks instead.

Gavin

I doubt they’d be as awesome company as me, though.

See you at The Sidecar?

Ginny came downstairs as he pulled the pizzas out of the oven and seeing her in that saree distracted him all over again. In all the years he’d known her, she’d never worn one, but she looked so fucking good, he hoped she’d wear it more often. All thoughts of Graham’s visit andwhyhe was meeting his lawyer flew out of Gavin’s mind. His only focus was on Ginny that evening.

“You know what we should watch tonight?” she asked as she got comfortable on the couch while Gavin brought the food to the coffee table. “Someone Like You.”

“Ashley Judd?” She was one of the most underrated actresses of her generation and Gavin had a crush on her when he was growing up. Ginny was the only one privy to that information, and he loved that she remembered something so random.

“And Hugh Jackman for me.”

Chuckling, Gavin sat down beside Ginny and she snuggled into his side as she hit play on the movie. He’d never seen this one, but from the opening music and credits, it was clearly going to be a rom-com, and maybe that’s exactly what they needed.

Pizza, Ginny and an Ashley Judd rom-com, what more could a guy ask for?

The next day, Gavin invited Spencer over while he went out with Graham. Partly because he didn’t want Ginny to spiral on her own. Also because he knew that his brother was missing his best friend. When Spencer walked into the house, Ginny pushed Gavin out of the house, which was further proof that he’d done the right thing.
