She definitely took a picture of the trio, because it was the cutest thing she’d ever seen.
Unfortunately for them and their crazy schedules, Ginny was also booked for a weekend in Bethany Beach with Frankie for one of the biggest weddings on their roster. At any other time, Ginny would have been excited to set up and work the wedding for two famous people. But it meant being away from Wildes for three whole days, including the weekend, just after she and Gavin had decided to give things a shot. The day she left, she dropped Copper off with Gavin at the shelter. She snuggled into Gavin’s arms for twenty minutes on his couch, kissed him sweetly and then hurried out of the door.
Since then, they’d been talking mostly via text—and FaceTime if she was lucky.

Ginny
YES!
I’ve been dreaming about those drinks your dad served last time
Gavin
Is that all you’ve been dreaming about?
Ginny smirked at his response, setting her phone down to quickly change out of her pajamas and sent a reply.
Ginny
And your mom’s apple crumble, god, that is the best dessert ever.
Gavin
On second thought, I don’t think we’re doing family lunch next weekend.
A laugh escaped her as she texted Frankie to let her know she was heading downstairs. The only upside to all of this was that they were planning the last event and then she could go home. And maybe even do something with Gavin. She’d take anything at this point; even falling asleep in his arms.
Ginny
Aw boo. I was looking forward to some Juniper and Elijah time!
Guess I’ll be okay with just you.
Gavin
Isn’t it too early in our ‘relationship’ for you to do this to me?
Ginny
Why is relationship in quotes?
She was starting to realize that torturing and teasing Gavin was just one of the many things that brought her joy. Mostly because he always fell for it and took some time for him to understand she was just messing with him.
Gavin
I know now that you’re fucking with me and I’m not sure I like it.
Ginny
