Ginny

If you’re a good boy when I get home, I’ll make it up to you.

Gavin

And I thought women like bad boys.

Ginny

Not this woman. I like them good and charming with sparkling eyes and devastating smiles and calloused hands that know exactly how to get me going.

Gavin

I think I know someone like that. And he likes you too.

Ginny

I miss you too, Little Rhodes.

Gavin

If you wrap up early tonight, can we FaceTime?

Ginny

Only if Copper and Cedar can join.

Gavin

I was thinking of a different kind of cat and dog, but sure.

Ginny gasped and then sputtered out a laugh at his text, hand slapping over her mouth. Then her mind was conjuring up visions of her on her hands and knees while Gavin took his time making her come with his tongue. Her clit throbbed and Ginny bit down her bottom lip to fight back the moan.

Ginny

Asshole.

Gavin

I miss you too, Nia.

For the rest of the morning, even with her phone on Do Not Disturb, Ginny’s mind kept wandering to their conversation. With how busy she was going to be the next few months, Ginny wondered if this is what their relationship was going to be like—texting, FaceTime and weekend plans made in advance. Gavin would never ask her to work less or slow down, but Ginny felt like maybe that’s what she should be doing. Between all the stuff happening for @GinLife and the events she had lined up all the way until August, Ginny was worried that Gavin would get tired of waiting for her.

“What’s wrong with your face?” Ginny blinked and glanced at Frankie, who was standing beside her one hand on her hip. “You okay?”

Nodding, Ginny smiled. “Just thinking about what else we need to do today.”

“Nice try, Thomas. Tell me what’s going on.”

Most of the WEW team was in Bethany Beach for this wedding, because it was probably the largest scale event they’d ever planned. It was rare for FrankieandGinny to be away from Wildes at the same time, but this was an important one. And Frankie could read Ginny pretty well, which meant that even though she was brushing her off, her friend wouldn’t let it go.

“Nothing.”

“You know that you can’t keep shit from me, because I’m too annoying.”

Ginny laughed and pushed the mason jar she’d been filling to the side to start on the next one. Daisy had sent two of her staff members to help, but there were still so many mason jars to fill with flowers that Ginny had volunteered to assist.

“Did something happen with Gavin?”
