Spencer’s eyes widened and Gavin frowned at the expression on his brother’s face. Before he could take the phone away, Gavin hit the arrow on top and was taken to the post where the comments were left. Staring back at him was Ginny in the sexiest lingerie he’d ever seen, acome hitherlook. Gavin’s heart was racing and his head throbbed in a combination of confusion and pride. Clicking her name, Gavin stared at her profile and was blown away by what he was seeing. The number of followers, the blue tick beside her name and her short bio that claimed she was a ‘body positive influencer, helping people love and accept their bodies just the way they are’. All the posts were of Ginny wearing beautiful clothes, looking flawless. There were even a few of her without makeup, dressed down and looking likehisGinny.
“Spence…how long has she been doing this?”
His brother sighed heavily, because clearly this was something Gavin wasn’t supposed to know. “A few years now. I’m the only person who knows and I was never supposed to tell you, but these comments, man.Fuck.” Spencer took the phone back and shook his head. “She’s my best friend and I’m so fucking proud of her and the magic she creates, but these assholes just swoop in and try to belittle everything she does?”
Gavin nodded, running through Ginny’s itinerary for the evening, because he knew she was coming home that night. While there werehoursuntil she landed, he didn’t want to just sit around and stew in this. Brushing past Spencer, Gavin went to his room to pack up his things and came back to find his brother frowning at him.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m going to…I’m going to her place.”
“She’s still in New York.”
Gavin sighed, dragging a hand through his hair. “Fuck, I know, okay? But I want to be there when she gets home. I…want to make sure she’s okay.”
“Gavin…” Spencer sighed and shook his head. “She’s going to kill me.”
Patting his brother on the back, Gavin smiled sadly. “Thank you for telling me, though. And for showing me that, because I always knew she was a badass, but that…thatconfirmed it.”
“Keep me posted, okay?”
“Yeah. Can you keep Cedar and Copper with you for the evening? I’ll pick them up tomorrow.”
After a quick round of bye’s, Gavin kissed the top of Cedar’s head and hopped into his truck, ready to drive around aimlessly until Ginny came home.
