His eyes almost bugged out of his sockets at the question and he started to shake his head, but changed his mind. “Because you’re funny, sexy and beautiful, obviously. But also because you take no shit and you work hard for what you want, what you believe in. You’re fucking loyal and kind and generous with your time. And because of all the women in the world, you’re the only one that shines bright.”

Ginny’s expression softened and she released a shaky breath. “As for why I picked you? Because you’re the only one who ever really sees me. Back on Tybee, now in Wildes. You are so fiercely protective and loving of those who matter to you. You’re stubborn and an idiot sometimes, but you’re my stubborn idiot. And for as long as I’ve known you, Gavin, you have been the greatest guy I’ve ever known.”

“Until I fucked everything up.”

“Well…wefucked it up. But we’re not doing that again.” Her lips curled into a soft smile and Gavin agreed with a nod.

He pushed himself to sit up, arms winding around Ginny’s waist as she shifted onto his thighs. Sighing softly, he leaned forward and pressed his forehead against hers. “I’m sorry,” he whispered and Ginny shook her head. “I do trust you, I know that this is real and that you and me…we’re doing this together.”

“You’re mine,” she said, lips hovering against his.

“I’m yours,” he responded, pulling her flush against him as he pressed his mouth to hers. Ginny moaned, her hands sliding into his hair as their lips parted and tongues brushed. It didn’t even matter that they’d just had sex for the millionth time in so many hours, his desire for Ginny would never fade. Her hips moved against his slowly, bare pussy rubbing against his hardening dick and Gavin groaned into the kiss.

One of Ginny’s hands dipped between them and wrapped around his cock, tugging and squeezing gently when his phone started ringing. Had it been any other ringtone other than “Never Gonna Give You Up” he would have ignored it, but that was the song he assigned to Everleigh, Jackson and Milo. So he would always know to answer. Groaning, he broke the kiss and pulled back to look at Ginny.

“I need to get that.”

She hummed, leaning in to playfully swipe her tongue over his mouth. “You probably should. And then come back to celebrate and we can finish this.”

“Yes ma’am.”

Ginny slid off his lap and pulled the covers up around her as he leaned over the side of the bed for his phone and boxers. Tugging the latter on, he unlocked his phone to call Milo back when his phone lit up with a FaceTime call. Stepping out of the bedroom, he climbed over Cedar and Copper curled up in the doorway, and walked down to the kitchen.

“Are you naked?” Milo asked, his forehead crinkled with a frown.

“Considering you’re calling me desperately, I might be. What’s up?”

Milo’s face lit up and he looked over his shoulder before turning back to smile at Gavin. “Hold on.”

He poured himself a glass of water as Copper made her way into the kitchen, onto the counter and very skillfully—and painfully—climbed her way onto his shoulder. At the same time that Milo and Frankie came into view.

“There’s a fur ball on your shoulder.”

Gavin nodded and Copper snuggled against his neck. “It’s her favorite spot. Hi, Frankie? Someone wanna fill me in…”

Frankie raised a hand, blinding him instantly and it took him a few seconds to register why. Pulling the phone away from his face, his eyes widened. “Holy shit.”

“He put a ring on it. We’re getting married!”

“This is…wow. Congratulations you two.” He smiled, watching his best friend andfiancéegrin at each other. “I’m so happy for you guys. This is fantastic.”

“Thank you, Gavin,” Frankie said, grinning as she brushed her hair out of her face. “You’ve got two weeks to get your shit together for this wedding.”

His eyes widened at the timeline. “What’s the rush? Are you pre—”

“Nope, just can’t wait to marry the heck out of this man.” Milo beamed from behind Frankie and Gavin laughed, nodding as he held a thumb up.

Milo’s face came into the frame, still smiling like an idiot. “I don’t need a bachelor party, but I’d love for you to be my groomsman.”

“As if you have to even ask,” Gavin told him. Milo, Jackson and Gavin decided a while ago that if they got married, they wouldn’t have a best man, just two groomsmen who did all of the things a best man would. “Two weeks isn’t a lot of ti…sheknew, didn’t she?”

Milo laughed, nodding as Gavin shook his head. Of course Ginny was already privy to this information and she’d kept the damn secret for a while. That explained the ‘we’ll celebrate after’ line she slipped in so very casually. After a round ofbye’s, he slowly walked back to the bedroom.

He still remembered the first time Milo mentioned having fallen in love with the most incredible woman, Gavin was skeptical. But now he got it. When you found the right person, everything made sense.

Cedar had moved back to her bed by the window on the upstairs landing, so Gavin set Copper beside her. Standing in the doorway to the bedroom, Gavin crossed his arms over his chest and watched Ginny swiping and frowning at her iPad. He could see a long and beautiful future with this woman. He’d seen that future when he was fifteen years old. Now at twenty-eight, he wascertainthat she was the only one for him.

She looked up at him, a slow smile spreading across her mouth. “Ready to celebrate?”
