“Yes,” she said.

Her friend smiled at the two of them. “Be careful, but have fun.”

Taking his arm, she walked them out of the club, leaving the pounding musical beat behind. While she had been enjoying the dancing, the thought of getting to know this man was even more exciting.

Once they stepped outside, the warm sea breeze hit them. She loved the sound of the boat pushing through the water, the swish of the waves, and the sea gulls following behind them.

“I’m sad that tonight is the last night,” she said. “I wish you’d come over sooner.”

He pulled her in close. “You’re the first woman I’ve been interested in for years. So it took me a while to get up my courage.”

“Divorced?” she asked, wondering why he would not be around women.

“No,” he said not elaborating. “How about you? Why are you on this cruise without a man?”

“I’m celebrating,” she said laughing. “For so long, all I’ve done is study. But last month, I passed the bar exam and my parents gave me a cruise to relax before I start work in Cheyenne on Monday.”

“Congratulations,” he said.

They had walked to the bow of the ship. He turned her toward him, and in the moonlight, she watched as his mouth came down on hers.

At first, his kiss was gentle, but then his lips covered hers, taking command, his tongue sliding between her lips. Heat spiraled through her at his touch and she wanted more.

When they broke apart, she sighed. “Oh, I haven’t been kissed like that in years.”

A chuckle came from him. “I haven’t given a kiss like that in years.”

She tilted her head and gazed into those bright, shining emerald eyes that seemed curious, but not prying. Tonight was about having fun.

He pulled her in tightly against his body and she could feel he had definitely enjoyed kissing her as his cock pressed into her center.

It had been so long since she’d been with a man. So long since she’d felt a man’s hands on her body. His arms curled around her.

“You’re not married,” she said.

“No,” he replied. “I’m single.”

“We’re two lonely people on the last night of a cruise. Let’s get naked,” she whispered, knowing this was not her usual way of getting to know a man, but tonight she wanted more than just a kiss.

A chuckle came from him and he grabbed her hand. “You read my mind. You have a roommate. I don’t. Let’s go to my cabin.”

“Let’s go,” she said with a giggle.

Never before had she had a one-night stand, but Ryan was handsome as sin, and she’d come on this cruise hoping to get laid. Tonight was her last chance.

They all but ran to the elevator where they took it up to his stateroom on the Verandah Deck.

When he opened the door, she could see he had a nice one-bedroom suite. “What are you doing on this cruise all alone?”

He shrugged. “I needed a break from work. So here I am.”

The man locked the door behind him and then he approached her. His eyes had darkened with desire. Reaching behind her, she unzipped her dress and let it slide to the floor. She stood wearing heels before him in her bra and panties.

“Damn, Amelia,” he said and then took her face into his hands and layered his mouth over hers. Sweet, sexual heat engulfed her and had her moaning.

Damn, indeed, the man knew how to kiss as he pulled her against him. She could feel his rock-hard penis and she wanted that between her legs.

They broke apart, both of them breathing heavily. “Please tell me you have condoms.”
