Her hands wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer until their lips touched. “I trust you with all my heart.”

He nodded, pushing against her entrance. Their lips met once again as he slowly worked his way inside. She’d never felt such pain and pleasure mixed together. Parts hurt, he stretched her so much. In the same breath, it felt divine the farther he went.

When he was seated fully inside, he stopped, pulling away his lips and bending his head to the pillow. His heavy breaths mingled with hers filled the room.

Her hand slid down his back, eliciting a tremble from him. “Are you okay?”

His lips pressed against her neck. “Yes. I need a moment. You feel so damn good, I’m afraid I’m going to explode before I can even move.”

The thought she had him at her mercy had her mouth twisting up into a wicked smile. She’d get him to the edge of madness as he had done for her. She pumped her hips up, relishing in the harsh intake of breath he let loose.

“Eve…” he warned, lifting his head. “Give me one more moment.”

She wrapped her legs around his waist, pushing him even farther inside as a groan slipped from his lips. “It feels so wonderful. Let go. It’s okay.” Her eyes glided to the nightstand then back to him in a flash. “You obviously planned for more than one round. This is only the beginning.”

“You’re not getting any sleep tonight.”

Then he crushed his lips to hers as he ground into her, pumping in and out as if someone had slapped his ass to get him moving. In between the bliss spreading around her body once again, she realized it was she who had done so. Her legs were wrapped tightly around him, her hands digging into his ass, urging him on. He honestly didn’t need any encouragement as he pounded in and out of her. Each thrust sent a bolt of lust through her, making her ache for more.

She knew the moment was coming to an end when he broke the kiss, his face twisting in ecstasy, his body tensing. She relaxed her body, her hands traveling slowly up his back as he rested his head next to her, his heavy body still on top of her. She had no desire for him to move.

A feather-light kiss hit her neck.

No words hit his lips though. She didn’t need any. His touch, his movements, the way he made love to her told her everything.

She was safe in his arms.

She’d be filled with love.

As long as she stuck around.

He inhaledthe wonderful aroma of vanilla, a scent that always lingered on her. Then he wrapped his arms around her, his hands splayed around her stomach in a deadlock. Then his lips caressed her neck. God, what he wouldn’t give to haul her back to his bedroom and not leave for a week. Unfortunately, the real world had intruded, and they couldn’t continue to live in the bubble they’d erected this past weekend.

Saturday had been filled with so many harrowing emotions. Sadness, pain, rage.

Pleasure, desire, love.

Sunday had been even better than the day before. Nothing terrible entered their space. Only the touch of his hands covering every inch of her, branding her, marking her with his love. She should have no doubt how much he cared about her. How much he never wanted her to leave. Though that sentiment never left his mouth. He’d have to tread carefully.

Like right now.

She was due at the cafe in thirty minutes, and he had to start his own shift. But before all of that, they had to take care of something important. Something he knew she wouldn’t want to do.

“Don’t start that now,” she said breathlessly as he placed a few more kisses on her neck until he trailed to her ear where he nibbled.

“Start what? I’m not doing anything.”

She giggled, opening her neck some more to give him better access. Oh, yes. She wanted him as much as he craved her.

He pressed more light kisses to her neck before he forced himself to stop. If he kept going in this direction, they’d both be calling out sick to work.

She must’ve felt the change in him when he lifted his head, but he didn’t let go of her.

“I think—”

She twisted in his arms, cutting off his sentence. Her hands pressed against his chest, and he froze, waiting for her to push him away. Instead, she slid them down a fraction, then paused.

“Don’t say anything. Please.”
