“I-I came to apologize and to tell you that we aren’t broken up. It was a mistake.” I righted my shoulders.

“A mistake?” she snorted. “No, it showed me your little man syndrome. We’re still over.”

“I’d hope so,” a pale blond chimed in.

“Who the hell are you three, and why are you in my cabin?” I pointed my fingers, angered they were even here to see this.

“Well, my brothers and I were staying a few cabins up when we stopped by to see if someone here had a cup of sugar. The chimney was going, so our bet was better here.”

“Yeah, and they came in to help me find it because I didn’t know where it would be with it being your cabin you sentenced me to spend Christmas alone in.” Her attitude told me there’d be no forgiveness for my actions.

“Once we found out she’d be alone, we stayed.”

“And we enjoyed her sugar,” the redhead growled.

“Oh, yes. No finer quality.” The light-haired one kissed her hand and made her blush.

“Well, we must be on our way, but it was a pleasure, Lacey.” The dark haired one kissed her cheek before slipping her a card from his pocket. “My company could use someone with your aptitudes if you’re ever looking, and I have someone who can help with your new talent.”

Whatever code they used, she smiled and hugged him tightly. “So this isn’t over?”

“We’re just beginning.” His hand fell to her ass, pinching it for me to know exactly what sugar they dipped into.

“You slept with them?” Disgusted, I couldn’t believe it.

“Yup.” She turned toward me. “All at the same time. Santa really heard my Christmas wish. You might want to burn your rug.”

“And couch,” one piped up.

“And the stools,” another expressed his fun. The three of them began walking away, but I focused on Lacey.

“Are you seriously choosing three strangers over me?”

“I’m choosing myself, you arrogant prick!” Slamming the door in my face, that was the last time I saw my ex-girlfriend. She had been claimed by three strangers in my absence, and she chose them over me.
