“Me too,” he agreed, reaching out to stroke his fingers over her cheek. “So, what do you think about this place?”

“It’s a lovely area, but this used to be a farm,” she warned him. “It probably comes with more acreage than we want.”

He shrugged. “Just three hundred.”

“Justthree hundred? How big a house do you intend to build?”

“Average size.”

Lia narrowed her gaze. “Pike average or Hollywood average?”

“Average average.”

“Kaden,” she murmured. She loved Kaden, but she would never be comfortable in a lavish monstrosity of a house.

“We’ll need space for a garage so I can work on my motorcycles,” he interrupted her dark thoughts. “And you’ll need an office. An official office, where you don’t have to worry about interruptions.”

An office without interruptions? Lia returned her gaze to the land that seemed to spread out forever. There was a lake somewhere on the property, she distantly remembered. Her grandfather had let her fish while he was visiting with his friend. What a perfect location for an office.

“That would be nice,” she murmured in dreamy tones, already picturing a small cottage surrounded by a lush garden nestled next to the water.

“And, of course, we’ll have to have enough acreage for the hanger and runway,” he said.

She blinked, the vision she was creating abruptly shattered by his words. “The what?”

“If we’re going to travel from Vegas to Pike on a regular basis, it only makes sense to have a small plane we can fly back and forth,” he pointed out in reasonable tones.

“You’re a pilot?”

“Not yet.” He smiled, leaning forward to press a light kiss against her lips. “I thought we’d learn together.”

“Together,” she breathed.

“Forever.”
