Every muscle seized, then I shattered, pleasure exploding through me. My screams were wordless, the volume loud and wild.

“That’s it—oh, so fucking beautiful!” Viktor roared. He snapped his hips forward in a final, brutal thrust. And then he groaned, guttural and gut wrenching.

Through the convulsions of my own orgasm, I vaguely noticed he’d stilled. Judging from the hard way his fingers dug into my flesh, it felt as good for him as it did for me.

Chapter 33 – Briana

The contract lay onthe desk. How could a piece of paper mock me so badly? I shook my head. There was a familiarity to the verbiage and maybe even the phrasing. I couldn’t put a finger on what it was, but it didn’t really matter because that was a distraction, something precious time couldn’t afford. This engagement needed to be ended before the East Coast syndicate left. It would only be that much harder to resolve the longer we waited.

“Coffee for you; black with a squirt of honey and a dusting of cinnamon.” Viktor’s smooth bass broke through my thoughts.

I snapped my head up and flashed him a grin. “What’s a wild ussuri like you doing something as domestic as brewing coffee?”

Viktor growled deep in his chest as he dropped the coffee on my desk. “A simple thank you would suffice.”

“Thank you...sir.” The wicked words rolled off my tongue, and the heated response that flashed across Viktor’s face made my pussy throb.

“Watch it, suits. I’m not above throwing you over my shoulder, hauling you to my room, and making you a captive in my bed.”

“Do you promise?” I asked him with a wink.

“Enough!” he barked, but there was no bite in the gruff response. “Where are you at with that damn paper?”

My heart fell slightly. “I don’t see a way out of this.”

Viktor took it bravely. Whereas I wanted to shred the document and start screaming, he merely shrugged. Such a cool head under pressure. “It’s there. You’ll find a way to break it.”

Because I was scared, his confidence irked me. This was serious. Blowing out a breath, I turned back to the paper and clenched my gel pen so tight it threatened to snap. I wasn’t welcome here in the eyes of the family. Viktor had admitted his uncle was eager to see me gone for the sake of this damn negotiation, and whatever Anya was up to by sneaking into Sophia’s command center didn’t bode well. But there was no proof of malice. Our suspicions held no more weight than a feather in a hurricane. Viktor needed to be out of this marriage arrangement, and the New Yorkers needed to get the hell out of here!

Viktor knelt beside me. Without a word, he slid the socks off my feet and began to knead the arches and pads. Those fingers had killed men, and yet I wanted them all over my body. Again. And again.

“What’s a castle clause?” I asked, trying to make my brain focus. “It only applies to Volkov.”

Viktor stilled. Those sharp eyes took in the section I was pointing at. “Oh, that. It gives them an honorable exit should they find my character lacking.”

I rolled my hand for him to elaborate.
