Some of the woman sighed, and Simon could have sworn one or two of the men groaned. But none of that mattered as long as Katrina liked that idea.

“What do you say? Want to go on an adventure with me?”

The strangled sound that escaped her lips didn’t sound happy at all, but the look of adoration on her face was enough to clear that up. “I don’t want you to think you have to fill some kind of box. I love you. I will always love you, no matter what. No regrets.”

He pressed his head to hers, something they had a tendency to do when they really wanted something to hit home. “No regrets,” he repeated.

Katrina glanced around the table. “What do you guys think? Because this isn’t just about Simon and me. This is about our whole family. Each and every one of us.” She set her eyes on each individual at the table, and Simon watched as they all nodded and smiled. This family was a shining example of what could happen when a family supported each other and built one another up. Katrina rested her cheek against Simon’s chest. “I can’t wait.”

“Have you thought about who you want to be your bridesmaids? What about the groomsmen?” Katrina’s mother asked.

Simon glanced down at his fiancée with a wide smile. “I think it would only make sense to have my future brothers be the ones to support me when I stand in front of everyone and promise myself to my wife.”

Katrina grinned. Then she glanced around the table. “I already promised Brianne and Becca that they could be part of the wedding party. I’m so sorry. I can’t have all of you.”

Megan laughed. “It’s definitely not my scene. I don’t like the frou-frou dresses or heels. But if you want a coordinator, I’m pretty good at that.”

One of the other sisters he couldn’t remember the name of nodded her agreement. “I’ll pass, too.” She gestured toward her growing belly. “I’d rather stay off my feet if possible. Everything is only going to continue to get more swollen.”

A few of the other ladies chuckled.

“Then that settles it. Emily and Julia will be my other bridesmaids.” Katrina snuggled closer to him and let out a contented sigh. “And who knows? Maybe this will be just the event for my other friends to find their true loves.”

Simon laughed. “I don’t think Brianne is interested in settling down just yet.”

Katrina shrugged. “You never know.” She straightened. “Oh, that reminds me. Mom, Becca has the summer off and she was hoping to come stay with us before the wedding. Can she use the guest room?”

“I’m sorry, sweetie, your cousin Ethan will be helping out on the ranch this summer. We’ve already offered the room to him.”

“He can stay with the other stable hands in the wranglers’ cabin,” Bo murmured. “He’d probably prefer it that way, anyway. I don’t think he’s gonna want to have to deal with all the wedding planning going on.” He passed a knowing look with one of his brothers.

“Then it’s settled,” Katrina chirped. “Becca stays with us in the house and Ethan gets to be in the cabin.” She gave Simon a loving look, one he knew he’d never tire of. “And you and I can start planning our lives together.”

“Here in Rocky Ridge,” he murmured.

“Right where we both belong,” she agreed.
