Sharing me?

“Hey, Mom,” Olivia calls out, interrupting my thoughts. “Come tell Santa what you want for Christmas!”

“Oh no, Mommy’s okay,” I tell them.

“But, Mommy, how else will Santa know what you want for Christmas?” Peter asks.

“Go on,” Benedict urges, nudging me forward gently. “You deserve some Christmas magic too.”

I hesitate for only a moment before stepping up to Antonio, feeling the heat radiate from his body as he looks down at me expectantly. The scent of his cologne mingles with the faint whiff of cinnamon from the cookies we baked earlier, making me bite my bottom lip.

“Alright, Santa,” I say, leaning in close enough to feel his breath against my skin. “I think I’d like a surprise for Christmas.”

Antonio’s eyes lock onto mine, the intensity of his gaze making my heart race. “I can give you a hell of a surprise. Just wait and see.”

HUDSON

“Hey, everyone! I got Chinese for dinner,” I announce cheerily, my voice echoing through the spacious living room.

“Yay! Thanks, Uncle Hudson!” Olivia exclaims, rushing over to greet me. Her eyes sparkle with anticipation, and I smile at her enthusiasm.

“Hey there, kiddo,” I say, bending down to plant a soft kiss on her cheek. She beams up at me, her dimples deepening, and I instantly feel better. Turning to Harper, who has just entered from the kitchen, I’m struck by her beauty—she’s breathtaking. Her hair is pulled back into a messy bun, and she wears a simple pair of jeans and a cozy sweater. Even dressed casually, she looks stunning.

“Hi, Hudson,” she says softly, her cheeks flushed pink. “You didn’t have to get us dinner.”

“Sure I did,” I reply, brushing my lips against her cheek. The scent of her perfume invades my senses, and desire flares within me. “It’s my turn, and I didn’t feel like cooking.”

“Thank you.”

“Alright, I’m gonna hit the shower before we eat,” I tell Harper, hoping my voice doesn’t betray the lust that courses through me. “I won’t be long.”

“Take your time,” she replies, smiling warmly as her fingers brush against mine. The brief contact is electrifying, and I have to force myself to turn away.

As I head toward the bathroom, my mind races with thoughts of Harper—her touch, her laughter, her eyes. She’s made me feel things I never thought possible, and it scares me.

I stride down the hallway, my heart still thudding in my chest from my moment with Harper. The sound of laughter distracts me, and I turn the corner, nearly colliding with Antonio.

“Hey, man,” I say, forcing a smile even though Antonio is the last guy I want to see right now.

“Hey.” His voice is calm. “I’ve been meaning to talk to you.”

“I’m aware.”

“There’s animosity between us. Why?”

I’m not the kind of person to hold a grudge, but this time I can’t help it. My frustration starts to build as I remember how close Antonio has been with Harper lately. Images of them laughing together, their hands brushing against one another, sear into my mind.

“Do you have feelings for Harper?” I ask outright, watching as a small twinge of shock becomes evident on his face before he hides it.

He raises an eyebrow at me, his expression unreadable. “What’s it to you, Hudson?”

My fists clench at my sides as I struggle to keep my voice level. “Just answer the damn question.”

The air between us thickens with tension, our gazes locked in a silent battle. I can feel the weight of my emotions pressing down on me, threatening to explode if Antonio doesn’t give me a straight answer.

“Fine,” Antonio says, rolling his eyes. “Yeah, I’m attracted to her. But why does it matter? You think you’re the only one who can have feelings for her?”
