"What do you think it is?" asked Kaden amusedly, his hands still gripping the wheel. Nevertheless, he looked at me curiously.

"A swingers' club, isn't it?"

I didn't expect him to laugh out loud. "God, no. This is more exclusive. Not everyone gets invited, and just because you've been invited doesn't mean you automatically get in. The bosses here are careful about who their customers are– and it's a safe place where everyone can act as they please. It's a sex club, not a swingers' club."

"What's the difference?" I demanded, because in my eyes there was no difference at all. I studiously ignored everything else he had said. At least for now, until I was sure what to make of it.

"The difference here is that it's not about finding other people or couples to have sex with."

"Then why have a club?"

"Because many people like to talk about it. Or like being seen. Some of them also like to watch. But the bottom line is you have opportunities you might not have at home."

"You can afford anything you want," I groaned irritably.

Kaden didn't need a strange sex club to have fun. If he felt like it, he could have all that at the resort.

"I could. But it's not the same. Besides, there's no need for a dungeon in the basement of theHonolulu Sunwhen I can have fun here."

"And you thought it was fun for me to watch other people? Or that the thought of others watching me is a turn-on for me?"

"I thought it was time I had a go at you and what you've learned. I'm not going to make you do anything you don't want to do. I will never give you to anybody or watch as anybody tries to get you."

Soothing. Very reassuring. Or maybe not. Just because he didn't like this one thing didn't mean there weren't hundreds of other ways he could get us both into previously unknown situations.

Situations that could be as fulfilling as me getting involved with Kaden. So far, at least, I have had no regrets about it. If anything, I made the most of it…

"Unless you want to back out…" he teased, looking at me sideways.

"What are the rules?" I asked instead of answering his provocation.

"You will wear a collar and act as my sub. If I tell you to do something, you will do it– no ifs, no buts. Your safe word still stands. I will not force you to do anything that makes you uncomfortable, but I will take every opportunity. Your body is at my disposal. Whenever I see fit," he explained in a dark voice.

My body knew exactly what he meant. It reacted with this telltale heat between my legs that would not subside anytime soon. In fact, it only increased as he continued his efforts to embarrass me.

The first thing I thought about was getting collared. The collar. I had read about it– and so far I had regarded it as a form of humiliation. Not as a way to identify myself as Kaden's property. Even so, I didn't know if I would feel comfortable with being put on a leash like a dog. That was the next step, after all. Wasn't it?

As if Kaden had read my thoughts on my face, he continued his explanation, "Most of the other subs here have a dress code. Nothing– or a hint of nothing, if their masters are generous. I don't approve of you walking around the club naked if you don't want to. I wouldn't do it either, so I don't think I can ask you to do it. Besides, you'll be by my side the whole time. No going off alone. Otherwise I might feel compelled to try out the whip collection. Of course you're free to talk to whoever you want, but you should remember who you're representing."

I swallowed. As if his reputation was an extension of my behavior. Shit, there were so many rules and things to follow that my head was already spinning– and we hadn't even entered the club yet.

"Do you have friends in there? Business associates?" It could be embarrassing if I bumped into people at work. The more I thought about it, the more I dreaded it.

"Some of my acquaintances might be there. But the club's rule is that nothing is said outside about what goes on in there."

Although it made sense, I didn't like it at all. What if someone got the idea to use what they had seen as intel against other members? "And if you were to meet them in real life, would you still be able to look them in the eye?"

"Why shouldn't I, Nika? Your tongue was on my balls and I can still make eye contact with you without thinking about it every time."

I opened my mouth, but the heat rising in me forbade me from saying anything. I would regret it and I didn't want to risk that. So I nodded as if I understood what he was saying and decided to take the evening as it came.

It was probably not the reaction he was expecting, but we had not entered the club yet. Maybe my mind was changing. And my reaction.

"Well, have we cleared up all the loose ends, or is there something else keeping us from going in?"

"You mean other than the nervousness that is making my throat tighten?"

Kaden stifled a laugh. "Yes. Exactly. Except for the nervousness."
