Page 38 of F*ck You in My Head

"You know I won't get jealous if you tell me you've screwed a hundred women here?"

"Not quite that many, don't worry." I stifled a laugh. "So jealousy is a foreign word to you, is it?"

Audrey twisted her mouth in a gesture I couldn't interpret at first. "No. All I know is that all those women weren't me."

Speechless. She left me speechless again. And so effortlessly that she posed a serious threat to my quick wit. I opened my mouth, but could say nothing back.

"Oh, come on. We both know you've thought about what it would be like in the past."

"Actually, I've always told myself not to."

"Forbid yourself? Hmm." She looked at me thoughtfully. "Then you have some catching up to do."

With a firm gesture, I put down the glass, put my hand under the barstool, and pulled her within an inch of me. "Tell me why I should imagine it when I can live it now?"

Control of her features slipped away. It told her– and me– that triumph was on my side this time.

Her slender, long fingers slid up my stomach to the center of my chest. "Do you always fuck without a plan, Lei?"

"I live in the moment," I replied. "It's a small but very important difference."

Out of the corner of my eye I saw her chest rise and fall, felt her hot breath on my face. I couldn't help but think back to earlier. How she had climbed onto my lap and my body had responded instantly to be at her service. I had never experienced control slipping out of my hands as quickly as it did with her.

"So it's enough for you if we sit here and stare at each other intensely?"

"Would you rather I make you orgasm in front of everyone? My tongue craves your sweet taste."

Audrey's pupils grew. My words attracted her, even if she didn't admit it. Someday that would change. Then she would have no problem admitting her attraction openly and, more importantly, showing it. Until that time came, I let her continue to fight the inner battle unimpressed. This was something she had to work out for herself. Like so many other things, I could not help her, no matter how much I wanted to.

Just as I leaned forward to kiss her, I felt a hand on my shoulder that definitely didn't belong to Audrey, both of hers had clawed into the fabric of my shirt, exerting a not inconsiderable influence on the direction in which I moved. Mostly toward her, not away from her. But now I straightened up.

"I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to interrupt you," Kaia began with a grin. "But I didn't expect to see you here tonight."

I forced a smile, but avoided standing up and hugging her. Instead, I looked at my date. "Audrey, this is Kaia. Kaia, this is Audrey."

Kaia immediately extended her hand while continuing to look at me. "My brother already told me you're with a woman now."

"Did he?" A snarl almost escaped me. Kaden and Kaia were the worst. If you told one of them something, you could be sure the other knew about it, too. And since Kaden was married and Kaia was in a relationship with two already married men, three other people inevitably found out.

"Of course. So no one misses anything." She glanced over her shoulder until the next moment a hand slid around her waist and Blake appeared.

Audrey and he acknowledged each other with a quick glance, then their full attention was back on me. Once we were alone again, I probably had to listen to a comment or two about how I came to be talking about her to anyone. But that was okay, it was my mistake. I could live with it.

"Your first visit here?" Kaia continued without hesitation, feeling Audrey out more than I thought was necessary.

I wasn't sure if it was better to meet her and her partner here or if Kaden and Nikau would have been a better alternative.

"But not my first encounter with the subject." Audrey had turned to her, which meant the conversation would not end there.

Kaia nodded and immersed herself in the conversation, leaving Blake to his own devices. And with that, me. He slid onto the empty stool next to me and ordered a drink. My first impulse was to start a conversation about work, but this was neither the time nor the place.

"That woman..." I heard him murmur, and when I glanced beside us, I found myself in the front row of a little show where two women were kissing. The reluctance showed that it was Audrey's first same-sex kiss, but her hands on Kaia's ass proved she was anything but averse.

Blake's attention shifted to me. "How open are you when it comes to sharing?"

"Audrey's not mine, so..."

Something in his expression made it clear that he didn't believe that. "So you wouldn't mind if Kaia and I..."
