He chuckled, and the sensation rocked through her. She muttered, “That neither.”

She closed her eyes and then looked around for a distraction. Denith was watching them—or rather her—intently. “I forgot about you.”

He grinned, showing a lot of teeth. “That is probably for the best. I never would have managed to go so slowly with you. With you, I think of everything all at once.”

She muttered, “Like being fucked by a tornado.”

He laughed.

She held her breath as Teyval moved his finger around where they connected. The skin was tight. Really tight. But as he stroked, she felt the slippery situation take over.

Byron and Toros came in, and Byron walked quickly to the bathroom. Myrtle shrugged that off until he returned, and Teyval gripped her hips tightly to him, and he lifted his own hips. When he lowered her again, she saw the wide towel covering the bed.

It took another minute before his knot receded, and then she recognized her own scent in the rush of slick that followed him out. His scent wasn’t nearly as obvious. She filled the room, and the alphas in the space were all tense as hell.

“How are you, Myrtle?” Teyval massaged her lower belly.

“I want to hide behind you because they are looking at me like I am a snack.”

He kissed her cheek. “No one here will harm you.”

She sighed. “Nope. The guys that want that look different.”

Byron left and returned to her with a cloth in his hand. He tidied her up, kissed her nose, and tossed the cloth back into the bathroom where it hit the shower with a splat.

He stripped and laid on the bed, pulling her onto him.

“I thought we weren’t going to do any bonding until the test results are in.” She lazily flexed her legs, kicking slowly.

“We can bond. Toros just can’t have sex with you.”

Toros nodded. “Probably safe as I am not up to much.”

She looked around. “So, the bonding thing is something we can just get over with?”

She paused. They didn’t marry. No ceremonies. Nothing in public. They may as well get it over with. There wasn’t a lot of romance with alphas when mating was the end goal.

Byron frowned and stroked her hair. “What are you thinking?”

“Uh, let’s get it over with?” She raised her brows.

Teyval stroked her back. “Really?”

“I can feel Toros bleeding energy. Denith won’t be able to keep things up for long.” She leaned up on her elbows and said, “So, one braid or two? I don’t know how to do a five-braid.”

Denith raised his hand. “I do. I learned it in culinary school on bread dough.”

She smiled. “Good. I don’t know what these things are supposed to look like, but I think it is smaller than a bread loaf.”

“I will manage. We each coat a few strands of your hair with blood, and then I weave them all together.” He smiled. “And then I do braids on everyone, and you help me with mine.”

Teyval said, “By that time, we will all know how to do it.”

She paused. “Oh, right.”

Byron stroked her neck. “The moment the first link is completed, information will start to flow between us.”

She nodded. “Good. Then I can finish closing up Toros.”
