She kicked her legs idly.

Ford took photos of her, and he paused, smiling. “I think this will work even better.”

Myrtle blinked. “My actual face is hardly worth being on screen.”

Ford cocked his head. “Can you hold either?”

“Yeah. I mean, unless I am in heat, and then it is a white tornado. No options to shift presentation.”

Teyval chuckled. “When is shooting scheduled to start?”

Ford smiled. “In ten weeks.”

Myrtle blinked. “Oh. I might be stuck in elf mode by then.”

Ford paused. “Why?”

Myrtle looked from Teyval to Byron, and she shrugged. “Oh, I dunno. Just a possibility.”

Byron filled in. “She can’t shift if she gets pregnant.”

Ford paused. “And she’s an omega, so when was her last heat?”

“I had a flicker of heat, but there was an issue with our other pack members.” She muttered, “So, it wasn’t proper. Now, we have one pack member hitting rut and only a few signs that my heat is approaching. I might be able to push it back but not for ten weeks.”

Teyval chuckled. “No. I mean, we can try to have a neutral heat with her, but at that time, critical thinking will not be foremost in my mind.”

Ford laughed. “We can do some stills and wardrobe fittings. If she has to be six feet tall, she has to be six feet tall. It just means the other pixies are going to require a lot of tall actresses.”

The casting director muttered, “Assembling a list.”

“Uh, I am not sure I will be able to do this.”

Ford smiled. “You will. You already know all the lines.”

Teyval chuckled. “I can help you run lines at home.”

“You are going to look weird playing Pink, but if you want to spend your evenings in a tutu, whining and being mean to me... that’s up to you.”

He frowned. “Maybe we can outsource the mean words to Toros.”

“Oh, geez. He’s having a rough enough time as it is. I have never seen a mopey alpha before,” she muttered.

Teyval sighed. “I know. He still regrets his part in everything.”

She nodded.

She glanced at Ford. “Domestic issue.”

He nodded. “Right. I don’t get along with all of Olivia’s mates either. The one we share is lovely, but the others can be a bit much.”

“I understand. We all get along, but I get along better with my alternates than the destined mates.”

“Alternates?”

Teyval chuckled. “Byron and I had to step in to save her original trio. We bonded.”

“They did a very good job.” She patted him on the cheek.
