Her hair was long and dark, hanging past her shoulder blades.

Even in the darkness I could see she had delicate features.

The body was thin and lithe, like a fashion model.

I thought she was human, which only made me more nervous.

I had long imagined what making love with Mila would have felt like.

And now, to have another female human, meant I could live out those dreams.

If we ever get that far.

She reached over to flick on the main lights.

“Don’t,” I said.

Her attention snapped toward me. “Then how am I supposed to see you?”

“There’s no need to see me. I simply wish to see you.”

She peered at the other shadows. “Are we alone?”

“Yes. We are alone.”

“Mind if I check?”

“Very well.”

She reached for the switch and I hastily concealed my face with a hand.

She switched the light off but I didn’t lower my hand just yet in case she flicked it back on again to catch my face.

But she didn’t.

“Well, now that we’ve got that over with, how about we relax?” she said in a more confident tone of voice.

“Come here,” I said.

She took her time crossing to me but did as I asked.

I was as nervous as hell but decided to see how far I could push the envelope.

I patted my knee and, to my surprise, she perched on it.

She wrapped her arms around my neck.

She felt good.Reallygood.

She planted a kiss on my cheek and I was glad it was dark as my blue cheeks flushed purple.

I put my arms around her. “Thank you for coming. And thank you for understanding.”

“It’s all right,” she said. “Whatever it is, everything is going to be okay.”

“No, it won’t.”

This was nicer than I expected and, surprising even myself, I felt the emotion well up inside.
