“Ah, well, are you referring to the prior term sheet? I was under the impression that it was superseded.” Melanie was on her back foot.

“It wasn’t. In fact, it was executed in front of several witnesses. I’m sure there must be some misunderstanding. Your client wouldn’t back out of a binding commitment, not when there’s such a big stick if the deal doesn’t move forward,” Margo said smoothly. She was giving Melanie a chance to save face.Good girl. Her competence was such a turn on.

Melanie made some noises about how they would check with the client, but the relief in the room was palpable. We hung up and I wanted to kiss Margo senseless, but settled for giving her thigh another squeeze.

“You did it.” Gerald looked a little stunned.

“Of course I did.” Margo frowned. “And I didn’t mess up the purchase price, either. That was all Melanie’s team.” Her face was red and I knew what it cost her to confront Gerald like this.

He looked chagrined. “I apologize for doubting you. Finish up this deal with Markman, and then I suspect we will have something to celebrate at the end of the week.” He left and I grabbed Margo and pulled her into my chest. Her eyes were bright and she came easily, like she was made for me.

“You did it. I knew you could. You’re fucking brilliant.” I kissed her and felt her smile against my mouth.

“Take me back to the office.” Her voice was breathy and I needed no further encouragement.

We sprinted back to our office after that and locked the door. The blinds on the glass walls were drawn. I looked at Margo. Face flushed, breaths heaving in and out.Right where I wanted her.

“You’re the absolute devil, you know that? One look and you have me panting after you.” She stripped off her blazer and shook her head. “It’s insane.”

“You love it.”

“I do,” she murmured and advanced on me, reaching up to kiss me, sliding her hand through my hair and gripping my neck.

“I never want to stop having fun with you,” she said against my mouth.

“Good, don’t.” I kissed her until I couldn’t think straight, until I hoped she couldn’t either. She sighed into me and I used my free hand to remove her her top and pants, until she was before me in a set of slinky black lingerie. “Oh god, Margo, you’re going to kill me.”

“What do you think I planned on this morning?” She winked and pulled my shirt free of my pants. I batted her hands away and swept my papers onto the floor before laying her on the desk. I was careful to be gentle with her, despite my shaking need to take her. I wanted this to be perfect for her. She had my heart and I wanted her to feel that.

She gazed up at me and my heart squeezed. “Andrew, I can’t wait. I need you.”

She welcomed me with open arms and soft smiles. As I eased into her, all I could feel was that this was right. Suddenly it was urgent that I know she felt the same.

“Margo. Say you’ll never leave me, that you’re mine. Because I’ve never wanted anyone else the way I way I want you.” I punctuated my words with a single deep thrust and she cried out.

“I only want you, Andrew. I’m yours. I love you.” My heart filled at her admission, even though it wasn’t the first time she had said the words. I would never get enough. Excitement fizzed under my skin. She chose me, she wants me. I wanted to yell my happiness to the entire office, the entire world.

“I love you too, sweetheart.” I sank into her again and she arched off the desk. “I won’t last, Margo, I’m sorry. You have me too wild for you.”

“I’m close too.” She raised her hips to meet my thrusts and then we were coming, together, the pleasure spiraling through me sharper and sweeter than ever before. I collapsed over her and breathed into her ear.

“Good thing you said you love me, because I’ll never get tired of you. As long as I live. I want this forever,” I vowed.

“Me too,” she whispered back, holding me to her. “Me too.”

“Want to walk home together?”I looked up to see Margo standing next to my desk, dressed and ready to go. I hadn’t even noticed her moving around the office, I’d been in such a flow state in the purchase agreement.

“Home. Together. I like the sound of that,” I replied.

“Me too.” Her quiet smile made me smile in return, and I gathered my laptop and bag.

When we were downstairs, she turned west. “I like to do this walk to clear my head. I remember the last time I did was the day you told me you stole my junior. The day we got in trouble.”

“Oh, that.”

“Yes, that.” We waited for a light to turn green and then stepped off the curb in tandem.
