He chuckled and wasted no time proving his kisses surpassed any other kiss by miles.

Epilogue

Aliya scurried into the cave, glancing around at the darkened interior.

Curt hurried in after her. “You need to let me lead the way,” he half-scolded her. “What if there was a bear in here?”

“There are no bears in the Alps.”

He chuckled. “You don’t know that.”

“I always carry my bear spray.”

He went to flip his light on, but Aliya caught his hand.

“I’m excited to explore this cave and see if we can find any clues about the curse or the cure ...” she said.

They’d been researching old texts with Lieutenant General Phillip Cordon and thought maybe they’d pinned down a location for the cure.

Aliya was head over heels in love with her prince and could hardly wait for their fast-approaching wedding day. After he’d brought her home to Augustine, introduced her to Tristan, the king, Macey, and Kiera, and given her a proper tour of the gorgeous castle, he’d apparently asked her daddy for her hand in marriage over Facetime before he proposed to her. They’d decided to get married quick. In less than a week, they’d be prince and princess and could live properly in his beautiful cabin together.

But this whole curse and fabled cure thing had piqued her curiosity and every chance they got, they discussed it and scoured the mountains looking for clues. She didn’t believe the curse could kill her—she was a tough Southern girl, after all—but just in case, why not find the cure? She wouldn’t give up marrying Curt for anything, even if it was a death sentence.

“But I think this cave is a perfect spot to make out with my future husband for a few minutes before we light it up and look for clues.”

“Oh? So you’re prepared to give me the best kisses of my life?” he asked, teasing in his tone.

“See if you can keep up, my prince. This Southern girl has kissing talent that’ll knock your socks off.”

“Now that I believe.”

He bowed his head and captured her lips. Aliya would never admit it, but every kiss with him was the best kiss of her life.

She’d never aspired to be a princess, but her brave prince was absolutely perfect for her and to her.

The fabled curse could wait. She was already cured.

I had so much fun writing Aliya and Curt’s story. Aliya is one of my favorite characters. So tough and hilarious at the same time.

The Doctor Prince and the Outsider

Chapter One

Harrietta Theresia Ballard, Hattie to everybody who wanted to stay on her good side, and most smart people did, screamed like a banshee as she tugged on her paraglider brake handles. She was desperately hoping to slow herself down and somehow land in the meadow she saw up ahead without a broken neck. She only succeeded in spinning a fast circle, nausea rising quickly in her throat and cutting off her scream. She was still a hundred feet off the ground and descending far too fast. Was today finally her day to die?

This adventure had been a very bad idea, and it had only gotten worse. She’d trusted the too-handsome, too-charming Franz Wengreen and he’d taken care of all the arrangements. The helicopter had picked them up at the Grand Resort in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland and flew them to the top of a mountain peak so high it was above the tree line.

Bad Ragaz had a lame name, but it was one of the cooler mountain towns in the Swiss Alps—and she’d been to plenty of amazing Alps towns. The town had thermal springs, insanely gorgeous mountains, insanely gorgeous hotels, and a charming downtown. The only drawback she could see was its proximity to the kingdom of Augustine. Augustine was the one place Hattie could never return. She’d be arrested as soon as they figured out who she was.

Not really a worry at the present moment as she’d die before she got there.

She’d been excited an hour ago as she was strapped into the paraglider. She’d only done it as a tandem before today. She wasn’t excited any longer. Terrified. Full of regret. Wishing she could restructure her decision-making paradigm.
