It was the next day after I had asked Helena to help me improve my feminine side. She was a good teacher. That should be expected of someone chasing her academics. She was patient. To be honest, I was a lot jealous of Helena. A lot of people had whispered how they preferred her to me.

I couldn't understand why they would prefer someone so feminine and still depended on men to help them, but her lessons opened my eyes. While I sought my power through domination, Helena would have them helping her without doing a thing. Now, she was teaching me how to be dependent.

“Aren't you a feminist?” I asked.

“It doesn't mean I don't understand the value of men,” she responded. “You need to learn how to ask for help when you can't handle it. There is nothing wrong with being able to handle things without anyone else, but you should understand this. Men like it when they're depended upon. It's not a sign of weakness.”

“What if they take advantage of you? Mom said…”

“You didn't meet Mom for advice,” she said. “You came to me. And yes, they might try that; you just have to know how to balance it out.”

“Alright, what's the next lesson?” I asked.

“I think they should be able to be vulnerable around you,” she continued. “Don't appear too big.”

I thought about the fact that I was already highly successful.

“Your case is more or less the exception,” she said. “But he shouldn't feel threatened by you.”

“Oh, then that's not a problem,” I assured her. “Bruce isn't the kind to be threatened by me.”

In the bedroom and the office too.

“You seem like you've tried a lot of times,” she remarked.

“You have no idea,” I sighed. “Last lesson.”

She placed her hand on my shoulder, “Just be honest with your desires. It's okay to be the weaker vessel sometimes.”

“Hmm,” I mused; I was skeptical.

“Don't you want to be able to kiss him more? Or ask for kisses?” she asked.

I remembered the airport and what I wanted to tell him. I wanted to keep him around more often. I wanted to say yes when he had asked me to follow him to Maryland.

“I see there are a lot of things you wanted that you kept silent about,” Helena affirmed.

“I don't want to come off as needy or clingy,” I said.

“But you are needy and clingy,” she stated. “I just don't think you realize it yet.”

“I don't know,” I sighed. “I'm not sure about this.”

“Well, you're an Amazon after all,” she sighed, giving up on me. “You don't have to change immediately. You can take your time, and I'm sure he will notice subtle changes.”

“Thank you, sis,” I sighed. “You've been a huge help.”

“Don't mention it,” she said.

“This is still weird,” I laughed. “Look at us talking about a boy I like.”

“I hear it's what other sisters talk about,” she said. “I just can't believe we're finally doing ours this late.”

“I guess,” I said. “What about you? Do you have a boy you like? Do you need to be an alpha?”

“I… I just got out of a relationship,” she said. “So none for now.”

“Oh, I see,” I said.
