“Or I’ll drag you in the bathroom the moment you get here and reenact the first time I walked in on you, except with my mouth, not your hand.”

Just like that, I was hot and pulsating all over as I imagined her working my cock fervently while we locked ourselves up in that tiny space. I had to close my eyes to keep from palming myself then and there because my imagination didn’t stop with her just blowing me. In my mind, I was also fucking her in that bathroom while we both faced the mirror, our eyes burning and our heads thrown back in ecstasy.

“Sweetheart?”

“Hmm?”

“You sure know how to get me all riled up,” I murmured. “You’d better be ready for it when I catch you tonight.”

She took a deep breath, then faced my challenge head-on with her firm answer. “You’d better be early, then. Because I’m all yours.”

“Shit, Sophie. You’re driving me crazy.”

Sophie giggled. Then she cleared her throat and got down to business, relaying what Matthew told her about late dinner plans after we closed down and possibly sleeping over at headquarters. When she finally hung up, I still couldn’t keep the grin off my face. God, I couldn’t wait to see her, and I had a feeling nothing was going to bring down my happiness today.

Nothing, that was, except one other voice.

“Hey, Seb. Long time no see.”

My mood plummeted abruptly as I halted and found myself face-to-face with the ex of my nightmares. The irony was that Vicky looked as beautiful as always, her body encased in a tight white dress and her black hair curled to perfection. Her stiletto boots were her signature shoes, something that always turned me on whenever she wore them while I fucked her.

Oddly enough, none of it turned me on now. There wasn’t even any hurt feeling left, and the only thing I felt was a slight bitterness.

“You have the gall to show your face after what you did, huh?” I asked, keeping my tone light, refusing to be baited into anger. “After all the lies you fed your group about us?”

She pouted, another one of her signature moves that showed off her red-stained lips. I was beginning to see a pattern that I never noticed before, an insincerity that I should have seen from the start. But there was no use in beating myself up over it.

As expected, Vicky ignored my words and tried to sidle closer, but my warning look stopped her short.

“But Seb, it’s not my fault that you guys couldn’t keep your hands off me. I was the one whose kindness and hospitality you abused. I was the innocent party lured into your world because I didn’t know better. You took advantage of me. You and Rupert.”

The fury shot up, anyway, no matter how hard I tried to keep a lid on it. “You fucking liar.”

Vicky gasped and placed a hand over her chest as if hurt, but her eyes told a different story. They gleamed with mischief and mocking, savoring our little exchange.

“Oh, Seb, I’m just trying to make amends, given that I have a forgiving nature and all. But based on that phone call you were having earlier, it seems that you’ve moved on. I would congratulate you, but I pity her. Who is she, by the way? Does she make you scream in pleasure, too? Does she make you beg like I do? I bet she’s a little whore.”

“She’s nobody,” I snapped, refusing to get Sophie involved in this. Sweet but tough Sophie, who was a far cry from the woman I thought Vicky was. “And unless you want me to drag you to the police station, you’d better…”

A cold sensation trickled down my back. I shuddered, suddenly filled with alarm bells and an ominous feeling. But it was too late as when I turned around, men were already positioned and surrounding me.

And it was too late as they jumped me and I realized Vicky was their bait.

CHAPTER 15

RUPERT

Everything was going wrong and it was pissing me off. I stared at the goods in the van that Anthony was driving and tried to do a quick sort to see if there was something that could still be salvaged. Anthony looked pissed off, too, but was more worried about my reaction.

“Are you sure you locked this up last night? And it was still in good condition?”

“Yeah, that’s why I was in the office late. I was stacking everything up in the van last night so we’d have an early start. Dennis can attest to it since he and a few workers were with me, but Dennis and I were the ones who locked up.”

This meant the tampering must have happened somewhere along the road before they could get the goods delivered. Anthony figured this out, too, as he scratched the back of his head.

“If I knew this was going to happen, I would nothave stopped for lunch and—”

“No,” I cut in and shook my head. My blood was boiling, but I didn’t want to take it out on my workers when they did nothing wrong. “You always have lunch in between long trips and that’s your right. This was supposed to be a regular delivery.”
