I open the door and jokingly shove her toward it. “Go, before I lose my boner from all this insecurity talk.”
She laughs before she turns back and seductively licks across my lips one more time.
“Boner here to stay.”
I hear her giggling as she closes the door to walk inside.
One step closer.
After givingmyself some much-needed relief with her taste on my tongue, I make my way back to my office. I see Dominic as I walk in.
He looks at me suspiciously. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile like this before. What’s going on?”
I feel my face. I guess I am smiling. “Can you keep a secret?”
“Of course.”
“My girlfriend is pregnant. I’m having a son.”
He has a huge grin as holds out his hand. “Congratulations.”
I shake it. “Thank you.”
“Is this the same girlfriend that wasn’t talking to you for the past two months?”
“Yes. I was an idiot. I’m working on winning her back and definitely making progress. It’s only a matter of time.”
He lets out a laugh. “I’m doing the same with my girlfriend. Let’s hope we’re both successful and we both stop being boneheads.”
I smile. “You’d think we’d be better at this by now.”
He nods. “At our age? Yes.” He looks around like he’s making sure we’re alone. “Can I ask you a question?”
“Sure.”
“Why are there cans of something called Pussy Juice in the refrigerator?”
I let out a laugh. “Apparently it’s an energy drink that Jade likes.”
“Ah, Jade. I should have known. Where there’s smoke…I’m sure she drinks it to get a reaction out of people.”
I nod in agreement. “No doubt.”
“Have you ever tried it?”
I look down in embarrassment. “Once. I just kind of wanted to know what it tasted like. It claims to be one hundred percent natural ingredients.”
He looks intrigued. “And?”
I twist my mouth searching for the right words. “It’s…pungent. It tastes like an oyster you know is going bad tomorrow.”
He bursts into laughter. “Wow. That is shockingly descriptive. I think I’ll stay away from it.”
I smile as I nod. “That would be wise. I need to get to work. I’ll stop by later.”
I walk down the hallway and step into my office. Jade immediately follows me in and closes the door behind her. She appeared out of nowhere. She’s like a ninja.
“How was the ultrasound?”
