He nods. Andie tugs his leg. “Can I meet my brothers?”

Declan walks over and kisses my cheek. “Melissa and I are going to head out. It looks like you’ve finally got your full room. Congratulations.”

He’s right. I do. “Thank you.”

Andie and Glinda happily trade the boys back and forth. We get lots of pictures of every possible combination. I can’t believe I have four children now. Five if you count Collin, which I refuse to do considering he’s only six years younger than me.

Andie looks at Beckett. “Daddy, I’m thirsty. Do you have anything to drink?”

Jade reaches into her bag. “If you want an energy drink, I have a can of…”

Beckett snaps his head to Jade. Before she can get out another word, Beckett grits out, “Don’t even think about finishing that sentence.”

Jade smiles at him. It’s her special Jade mischievous smile. One I have no doubthidden twinBlaze will share. I have no idea what their silent communication is about, and I’m confident I don’t want to know.

He looks down at Andie. “You can grab some water from the bathroom.” Which she does.

It’s time to feed them so Beckett and I each take a baby and give them a bottle.

As I’m feeding Blaze, I look around the room and take in the surreal scene. I’m holding one baby and Beckett is holding the other. Glinda is sitting next to me, aimlessly playing with my hair. Jade is sitting in a chair with Andie on her lap. Collin is sitting on the floor in front of them holding Tyson. Andie is braiding his hair.

Ican’t get over how different this is from when Jade was born. I felt so alone and afraid then. I feel the exact opposite now.

Andie looks up at Beckett. “Daddy, you didn’t tell me a joke yet today. I need it.”

Jade looks at me in question. “Beckett tells Andie a corny dad joke every morning. It’s their tradition.”

Jade looks at him. “Let’s hear it, Beckett.”

He smiles. “I guess this will be Forrest and Blaze’s first official dad joke. The pressure. Let me think. Hmm. If you have twin daughters and name the first Kate, what’s the name of the second?”

Andie thinks for a moment. “I don’t know. What?”

“Duplikate.”

Jade makes a gagging noise. “That’s horrible.”

Glinda nods. “They’re all horrible. Every single day.”

Beckett smiles. “I have another. What’s the preferred fruit of twins?”

Andie thinks and then her face lights up. “Pears!”

“Good. One more?”

Andie nods.

“This one is for Mommy.” He turns to me. “Knock, knock.”

“Who’s there?”

“Eyesore.”

“Eyesore who?”

“Eyesore do love you a lot.”

If I didn’t know better, I’d swear he was looking at me with hearts in his eyes.
