EPILOGUE

THREE MONTHS LATER

AMANDA

Melissa is busy adjusting every last inch of my dress. I sigh. “I think it’s fine.”

Her head pops up and she gives me an appalled look. “This dress isn’tfine. It’s a work of art. Would you release a painting into the world if it wasn’t perfect?”

“I suppose not.”

“Let me paint my canvas. I’ll let you know when it’s ready.” She goes about manipulating both my body and the dress, moving everything into perfect position.

I look down, though she’s buried under the layers. “I feel like my husband is the only one that should be under my dress tonight.”

She shouts, “It’s totally normal for the woman married to the father of your child to be under your dress on your wedding day.”

Glinda and I both laugh as she hands me a piña colada. “Have a drink and relax. Let Melissa work her magic. No cherries though. We can’t afford an accident with that dress.”

I take a sip of my cold drink and try to relax. I don’t need all this craziness, but Beckett was dead set on making this day special. He said I deserved the full fairytale, and that’s what he’s giving me.

Jade and Andie emerge from the dressing room in matching hot pink dresses, hairstyles, and grins. I gasp. “You two look gorgeous.”

Jade holds out her hand for a fist bump. “We’re fucking rock stars, right, sis?”

Andie nods as she returns the fist bump. “Yes, sis. Total fucking rock stars.”

I shake my head and sigh. “Jade, watch your mouth around her.”

Jade has her mischievous look. “Just wait until you hear Andie’s speech.”

“Oh god, what did you do?”

She points to herself. “Me? I’m innocent. It was all Andie.” She winks at Andie. “Right?”

Andie giggles. “Yep. I wrote itallby myself.” She tries to wink back at Jade but fails adorably.

God help us.

Melissa stands. “There. Now it’s perfect. You look magnificent.”

I look at myself in the mirror. Admittedly, I look good. I let Melissa pick out the dress and she did an amazing job. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’sveryfitted on the top with what I hope are rhinestones but am pretty sure are diamonds. I know Beckett will enjoy how it shows myassets. I prefer the more traditional and whimsical bottom with layers of organza and silk.

I touch the ridiculous necklace around my neck. The one I wore on our first night in Italy. Beckett said it’s his wedding gift to me. I’m terrified of knowing what it cost him, but I can admit that it’s beautiful and brings back a lot of good memories. It’s also looking very purple right now.

I take in my entire appearance. I truly feel like a princess today.

Glinda starts to tear as she squeezes my hand. “You are beautiful, inside and out. Perfection.”

“Thank you.” I take a deep breath. “Let’s do this.”

The music starts, and though I can’t see anything yet, I hear oohs and ahhs. Collin and Tyson must be walking down the aisle. Then I hear it again. Beckett must now be walking down the aisle with the boys in their mini tuxedos.

Andie and Jade walk down together next. I can’t help but take a peek. They each have flowers in their outside hands but are holding hands on the inside. I love their budding relationship. Andie practically worships the ground Jade walks on.

We decided to limit the bridal party to family. We’re a bit old for a long list of bridesmaids and groomsmen, but I do catch Reggie sitting up front already bawling her eyes out. I know how happy she is for me that this day finally came.

I look around the room. It’s completely covered in lights and flowers. It truly is right out of a fairytale. I look up at Glinda. “It’s so beautiful.”
