She smiles down at me. “You deserve nothing less.”

She offers me her arm. “Shall we?”

Glinda is the closest thing I’ve ever had to aparent in my life. I now call herMom. I wanted her to give me away. After only twenty minutes of crying, she agreed to it.

We make our way down the aisle. I see Darian and Melissa cradling the boys. They hold up the babies’ little hands and wave them at us.

My eyes then find Beckett’s. They’re full of tears and love. I study my soon-to-be husband standing there in his tuxedo. He’s so handsome. He really is my Prince Charming, though with an occasional dash of grumpy and possessive. I wouldn’t have him any other way.

He’s changed since our separation. He’s lived up to every promise he made to me, both with his spoken words and his words in those letters. It’s like a cloak of darkness has been lifted. That feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop is gone. Even when things aren’t perfect, Beckett no longer has kneejerk reactions. He no longer lashes out at me. We’ve become a true team.

And watching him be a father to our babies is possibly the most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced. He’s nothing but loving and patient. The stress and worries I had when Jade was an infant are nonexistent this time around. I know he feels the same. He struggled when Andie was a baby, and he was on his own. Now we can both truly savor and appreciate what we have.

When we reach Beckett, Glinda kisses us both on the cheek. She then sits down next to Nico. He takes her hand in his and kisses it. They now live together in a house near ours.

Beckett whispers, “You are beautiful.”

I whisper back, “So are you.”

The officiant begins, “Normally I would welcome everyone, but it’s my understanding that Andie is going to do so today.” He points to her. “Go ahead, little lady.”

Andie stands between us and nervously unfolds a sheet of paper. “Welcome, everyone, to my mommy and daddy’s wedding. I’m so happy that my daddy became pussy-whipped last year.”

Everyone starts laughing as we both snap our heads to Jade. She just smiles proudly at Andie. I can’t believe Jade let her use the wordpussyin her speech.

Andie looks around, having no clue why everyone is laughing. I think it scares her.

I place my hand on her shoulder. “Go ahead, sweetie. You’re doing great.”

She nods and looks back down at her piece of paper. “I love that my daddy is not only a baby daddy to me, but also to my new baby brothers. I love that my mommy and I paint every morning. I want to be an artist just like her. I also love that my daddy tells me a joke every morning at breakfast. I think as a wedding gift, I want to end my speech with a joke.”

She looks up at us. “Do you know why the King of Hearts married the Queen of Hearts?”

We both shake our heads.

“They were perfectly suited to each other.”

A collectiveawwrings out from the crowd and we both bend to kiss her cheeks in unison. She giggles in pure glee.

The officiant runs through a few lines before it’s Beckett’s turn. He takes my hands in his. “Amanda, you are the breath of fresh air I needed in my life. I knew it the first second I laid eyes on you. You’ve brought me joy I never imagined possible. You’re kind and loving. Sweet and considerate. Smart and talented. Pure-hearted and so damn beautiful that sometimes it’s hard for me to breathe. I’m in awe of you every single day. You bring color to the canvas of our life. Andie and I are incredibly blessed to have foundyou. Jade, Andie, Forrest, and Blaze are so lucky to have you as their mother. You consistently shower them with love, affection, understanding, and unwavering loyalty.”

He swallows, getting a bit choked up before continuing. “You’ve changed me for the better. Our love story is like a real-life fairytale. It’s not always perfect, real life isn’t, but it’s always magical. I’ve learned that every fairytale is different. Each couple takes their own bumpy path to happily ever after. And at the end of some fairytales, the best ones, it’s the princess who saves the prince.”
