Logan looked around and snorted. Miles sighed.

Wyatt was doing his best to drag Nathan back into his chair.

“I can’t believe those guys are my friends,” Miles muttered.

“Admit it,” Logan said with a grin. “You wouldn’t have them any other way.”

Miles’s chest tightened. “You’re right. I wouldn’t.”

Logan squeezed his fingers at the way his voice trembled a little.

CHAPTER13

Logan parked nextto Wyatt’s SUV. He turned the engine off and climbed out of the pickup with Miles. They joined Wyatt and Nathan and headed for the charming gray and white clapboard building on the other side of the parking lot.

A pink neon sign above the front door proclaimed the name of the bar.

Logan observed the crowded parking bays. “I didn’t expect it to be this full even on a Friday night.”

“It’s popular with regular folks too,” Nathan explained. He glanced at his fiancé. “I have some pretty fun memories of this place when Wyatt and I started going out.”

Wyatt sighed at Nathan’s wicked little smile.

Logan had been surprised when Miles had related how Wyatt and Nathan had gotten together on the drive back into town. Nathan had been straight and had even been engaged to be married before he got into a road traffic accident that almost crippled him. The incident had changed Nathan’s outlook on almost everything in his life. He’d broken off his engagement to the woman he’d thought he’d loved and abandoned the dazzling career he’d spent years building.

After drifting around for a while doing contract jobs, Nathan had come to Twilight Falls to work for Wyatt’s web and graphic design company. According to Izzy, Wyatt had a crush on Nathan for the longest time before they finally became a couple. And it was Nathan who’d made the first move.

Miles’s friends really are incredible.

Heat and the noise of a lively crowd washed over Logan when he entered the bar with the three men. He could immediately tell whyThe Watering Holewas so popular.

The soft lighting and dark wood furniture lent an air of sophistication to the bar that wouldn’t have looked out of place in a big city. Yet it managed to be warm and welcoming at the same time.

Logan could tell a lot of money had been spent on the decor and the furnishings. He caught a glimpse of a back room with a glittering disco ball over the heads of the men and women filling the main area.

“This place has a dance floor?”

“Yup,” Nathan drawled. “Don’t let Hunter drag you on there. You’ll never escape.”

“Don’t,” Miles groaned. “I’m getting flashbacks to when he forced me to dance with him a month ago.”

Logan smiled. “You got moves I need to see, Mr. Martinez?”

“I have moves,” Miles muttered. “I’m not sure you really want to see them.”

“He has two left feet,” Nathan said teasingly.

“Ihave two left feet,” Wyatt grunted. “Compared to me, Miles is practically a swan.”

Logan chuckled. He caught a few curious glances aimed their way as they made their way through the throng of people. Miles tensed a little beside him.

“Are you okay?” Logan said, puzzled.

“Yeah.” Miles made a face. “I’m…not really good with crowds.” His shoulder brushed Logan’s arm as he drew closer to him.

Logan’s heart swelled. He placed a firm hand on Miles’s lower back.

Miles startled. He flushed at the look Logan gave him.
