“No,” Miles mumbled.
“Then Izzy did the right thing.” Logan hugged him tightly. “She has her pride, Miles. Just give her time to work through her feelings and pretend you didn’t hear her confession to me.”
Miles shuddered and clung to Logan.
Guilt constricted his throat as he listened to the comforting sound of Logan’s strong heartbeat. The secret he’d been keeping for the past fifteen years reared its ugly head, mocking him for being a coward.
Miles took a deep breath.
I have to be honest with him. I owe him this much.
“Logan?”
“Yeah?”
“There’s—there’s something I have to tell you.”
Logan tensed a little at his quavering voice.

His words filled the silence inside the car.

“Oh, that?” Logan’s hands tightened on Miles’s back. “Yeah, I guessed that when we were at the bar last week.”
Miles froze. He pushed Logan away and stared at him, shocked.

“Distracting me with your kisses!”
Logan’s mouth curved in a lopsided grin. “Did it work?”
Miles punched him lightly in the chest “Yes, it did and I hate you for it,” he grumbled.
Logan chuckled. He grabbed Miles’s hand and kissed his knuckles. “It wasn’t hard to figure out, Miles. The way you look at Drake is different from the way you look at your other friends.”
Miles’s stomach dropped. “Do you think Drake knows?!” he mumbled, horrified. “And the others?!”
Logan shook his head. “I seriously doubt anyone else is aware you liked Drake that way, least of all Drake.” He made a face. “I get the feeling that guy gave his rockstar boyfriend a run for his money before they decided to settle down.”
Miles’s shoulders sagged. “Thank God!”
“Why did you never confess to Drake?” Logan asked curiously after a moment.
“Oh.” Miles blinked. “I guess you wouldn’t know. Drake and Alex were going out before the accident.”
