“You popped that cherry yet, Martinez?” Hunter said breezily as he took the seat beside Drake.

Heads turned close by. Sam looked over her shoulder where she was working the coffee machine behind the serving counter and narrowed her eyes at them.

Miles sank into his chair with a groan. “How about you not talk about my sex life in public?”

Hunter arched an eyebrow. “That’s a no, huh?”

Drake made a face. “You guys still haven’t had sex?”

“Keep it down, will you?!” Miles hissed, flushing.

“Man, that Logan has the patience of a saint,” Nathan observed.

“It’s not that we haven’t, you know—done stuff,” Miles protested.

Someone choked at the next table.

Sam scowled and stuck her head through the kitchen swing door. “Elijah! Your friends are being perverts again!” she hissed.

Elijah’s resigned voice came in the distance. “Let it go, Sam. They were born perverts.”

“Hey, I resent that!” Hunter objected. He waited until Sam had gone back to making coffee before leaning closer to Miles. “Did you get the toys I told you about?” He waggled his eyebrows.

“What toys?” Wyatt said, nonplussed.

Nathan grinned. “Hunter told him to get some for ass play.”

A cup crashed two tables over.

Tristan groaned. Drake frowned.

The Christmas music playing in the background swelled in volume. Sam glared at them, her hand on the controls of the entertainment system behind the counter.

“I think she wants us to shut up,” Miles said guiltily.

Wyatt cocked his head at Nathan. “Want me to buy some?”

Nathan blinked. “Buy some what?”

“Sex toys.” Wyatt shrugged. “You look like you wanted to try them.”

Nathan’s expression glazed over.

Wyatt smiled. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

“I can give you my list of recs,” Hunter said with a smirk.

The conversation soon turned to Christmas. With the weekend festivities only a few days away, they’d started planning what to take to Alex and Finn’s place. Elijah and Wyatt were making Christmas lunch and everyone was bringing food and drinks for Christmas Eve.

The sun was sinking behind the mountains when Miles got home. He took Blue out for a walk and returned in time to see Logan pull up on his driveway.

Logan got out of the pickup and grabbed two take out bags from the passenger seat. “I got your favorite, Chinese.”

Miles went over and kissed him. “Did you have a good day?”

Logan smiled. “I did, thank you. What did you do?”

They chatted as they went inside Logan’s house, the conversation light and easy. Miles got Blue and Pepper dinner while Logan went upstairs to freshen up. He plated their food and grabbed two bottles of beer from the refrigerator before taking the tray into Logan’s newly furnished den.
