As I set the rhythm—slow, heavy, dragging strokes that made us both feel every inch, every roll of pleasure that swept through us—Callie threaded our fingers together. I tucked my face into her neck and shoulder, losing myself in my woman, my wife.

When her walls clenched around me and her body trembled with release, I tucked a hand between the ground and her body until I found her clit. Callie tensed and shattered so beautifully, pressing her face into my bicep to muffle herself.

I trailed kisses down that gorgeous arch of her spine, between her shoulder blades, as I chased my own orgasm. Driving into her again and again until all I knew was her sweet scent, her soft skin, and the tight heat of her pussy. When I shattered, Callie pressed her ass up against me with a pleased sound as I throbbed.

I eased myself down to the ground beside Callie, pulling her into my arms. She snuggled against my chest and kissed my cheek.

“Mr. Landon McClaren,” she said. “I like the sound of that.”

I smiled against the top of her head.

I liked the sound of it, too.

Epilogue

Callie – One year later

The day of the wedding dawned clear and bright. When I rolled over and draped an arm around Landon’s middle, I found him staring at the ceiling.

“You didn’t sleep all night, did you?” I asked.

He shook his head, turning to look at me.

“It’s serious business to become a McClaren.”

I smiled and cuddled closer, rubbing my foot against his leg. Landon spent so much time at Robinwood Acres these days that he’d moved in already. His clothes were in my closet, his boots were permanently stationed under my bed, and he always had the coffee maker started well before I was awake.

“There’s still a chance to elope if you want it,” I offered, tracing my fingertips over the planes of his chest.

Landon grunted and hooked his arm around my shoulder, tucking me tight against his side.

“Miss Cora would be heartbroken. I can’t do that to her.”

Sympathy tugged at my heart. Landon wouldn’t have any family at the wedding. His father wasn’t invited. His mother had died when he was a toddler. He had no siblings. Thankfully, Beau would be there to serve as his best man.

“Hello in there! I’m comin’ in so you lovebirds better be decent!”

Landon groaned at Beau’s shout from the yard. He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead before reluctantly sitting up.

“I told him to wait until after we had our coffee,” he said.

“He’s probably itching to get you married off as soon as possible,” I replied.

Landon grumbled as he tugged his jeans on.

“You know, I always thought Beau would be the one to get married first. Not me.”

I stretched and snuggled into the warmth of his lingering body heat on the bed.

“He’s having too much fun sowing his wild oats to settle down.”

Landon gave a hum of consideration.

“Someone will win him over one day.

As Landon buttoned his shirt, I reached out and hooked a finger into his belt loop. I tugged him closer.

“Sounds like you’re becoming a hopeless romantic.”
